What is worse, fans booing at half time or us nix fans clapping off our team despite losing another derby? Both wrong imo 😊 martinb

How more frustrating is that we lost to this rubbish overrated team twice in 4 weeks :(
I mean exactly. Chances spurned, chances gifted. We gave them number one spot. They were lucky against Sydney too.
And the fans booing them already. That shows some spectacular entitlement!
It would take a lot for me to boo my own team for a loss, you kinda know when you need to boo (something extreme and sustained, but not one or two losses in a row).
Gloating aside, I personally wouldn’t read too much into this loss in terms of “wheels falling off”. It was a horrible first half, but a bit better in second and Sutton pulled off some great saves. This is a team who came back twice vs. city away and these results happen randomly. I remember last we lost 3-0 to the Jets at home, but bounced back soon after.. Corica is experienced, he will know what to do to get them bsck
I always thought that reality would eventually hit AFC. But i never thought they would collapse so badly. 0-4 at home!!! They have serious problems caused by Halls injury. They have lost defensive shape. Playing Sakai at CB has taken away a major part of their attack from RB.

They definitely deserve to be booed today.
4-0 loss at home is tragic and pathetic.
Shall I speak ill of those that is my team?
Ah, poor my knights, what tongue shall smooth thy name,
The VAR incident involving us and wanderers a few years back springs to my mind as a worse referee performances that I’ve ever seen
Rings a bell - remind me what happened?
I also remember the first VAR game for the Phoenix at Westpac, and Melbourne got a penalty after an attacker climbed on a Phoenix defender's shoulders to reach a cross...
Or (forgot who?) getting two footed, studs up challenge from behind at the halfway line and VAR not deeming it a red.
Good to see the Port stick around post game though..
Yes. The Port's reaction to being owned like that was classy, and I'm sure the team appreciated it. The people who thought that they were booing their own team rather than the ref were seeing what they wanted to see. I must say that being at the ground it seemed the ref was letting a LOT of WU rough stuff go by, but then I would say that, wouldn't I
Ramming liberal dribble down your throat since 2009 This forum needs less angst and more Kate Bush threads
Before the VAR when Joel Griffiths kicked Karl Dodd, who completely spinning drop-kicked him in return and neither got a red? Or even a yellow possibly?
Dunno if that was the ref’s fault to be honest, but it did remind me of a couple of similar jokes:
1) and now in sports the boxing match between the French and Argentinian football teams has been cancelled…
2) oh yeh?
Yeh. Went to the fights last week and a football match broke out!
Feel like the worst performance would be a crowded field and letting stuff go has been a stated thing refs are doing this season. Just Brattan kicking through Kosta for no yellow 3 times last week for starters…and I thought that that ref was fairly consistent.
The Auckland crowd weren't booing their own players, they were being the officiating team.
Yeah, just watching the highlights now, obviously a completely different story if the ball had hit Casey, but Brimmer should've been more mindful on where she was.
I know he was focused on receiving the ball but surely the closer he moves to Casey, the more easily he can notice the distance between the two.

Oh the A-League...
Tomer Hemed (playing for Wanderers at this point) smoked a phoenix defender (can’t remember who) into renowned awesome goalkeeper Oli Sail, taking him out as well, and after causing all that carnage Hemed dutifully put the ball into the back of the net and ended one of our longest unbeaten streaks. I remember several dodgy calls that game.
