I'm sure Tommy Smith would have helped.

The booing was at the ref and the VAR, not at the team at all.
Classic biased misinterpretation
Good support all game from the Port and others around me in the stands.

What is worse, fans booing at half time or us nix fans clapping off our team despite losing another derby? Both wrong imo 😊

How more frustrating is that we lost to this rubbish overrated team twice in 4 weeks :(

I mean exactly. Chances spurned, chances gifted. We gave them number one spot. They were lucky against Sydney too.

And the fans booing them already. That shows some spectacular entitlement!

It would take a lot for me to boo my own team for a loss, you kinda know when you need to boo (something extreme and sustained, but not one or two losses in a row).

Ta, now understand what kind of entitlement the Port were angry about!

Had to go off what was reported here after a mysterious copyright claim hit the feed shortly after the third goal.

No Hall-Pijnaker and no marauding Sakai the whole problem? This was, at least in theory their strongest team.

Draw for city and victory which is a good result for us. A win tomorrow will put us into 5th and not too far behind the top 3 teams. Annoying we didn't get the result last week or we could've been 3 points behind 1st.

Beach costs City points again. He is having a very rough introduction to first team football, he had looked a ticking time bomb all season.

Maybe he will come right, Mat Ryan had a few dodgy moments to start his career.

That was the result I need for xmas, not even upset it was the snakes that did it. Crowd looked a smaller than usual but I guess some may have left Auckland for the holidays. Eitherway it was good to see them lose, will be interesting to see how the "fanbase" react next home game. The booing wasnt what interested me, that was clerly frustration at the refs, moce interesting was the players reaction when 2nd and 3rd goals went in, some very clear annoyance from one or two players, Paulsen in particular, dunno who else it was but there were a couple of "what the f***" questions being asked of others in the team. The teams reaction to conceding early and loising so badly will be interesting. Dan Hall's injury is a massive blow for them.

Auckland FC coach Corica labels players 'complacent' after first loss

Is Corica being fair on his team here, or does he maybe need to look in the mirror first? As much as I'm enjoying the schadenfreude right now it is surprising to see a strong team implode so disastrously.

But yeah, grudging respect to the Port for staying to applaud their team despite the result. Hope they handle their next derby defeat just as well.

I think he's pretty much on the money, some, not all, were probably getting used to winning even after conceding goals. Add an injury or two and those players soon get found out.

Macarthur and CCM play out a one all draw.  Keeps us in 9th place on the same points as CCM.

The gap between 5th and 10th is only 2 points, with 5th and 6th having played an extra game.

Top 3 getting a big break on the pack tho.

It's looking like a very tight race for 5th and 6th. 30 points maybe enough to take 6th.
I doubt 30 points will be enough but under 35 seems likely, which will be the lowest of the last few seasons.

I'm totally out of touch with Italy now. The Italian academy guys that I know in this league are Piscopo, Pennington and Cleur. If anyone knows of more (I'm sure there are some) then please update me because I do enjoy watching and following those guys.

Come on Adelaide, even if it's only till tomorrow night, I want to see someone other than Auckland at the top of the table.

Damn it Adelaide!

Was already feeling nervous about this game after they blew a 3-1 lead late in the second half against Sydney last round. WS with some momentum at the moment though.

Result also means there are now no undefeated teams left.

Kinda feel bad for Adelaide. Not often you get to play in front of a sold out crowd (in regular season with no derby no less) so to have a result like that has gotta hurt double. Can't say I can see them getting another sold out crowd any time soon

What could he mean by 'Disrespecting it'? Did the players do other stuff instead? Also never a good idea to throw the players under the bus like this, never seen it actually fix whatever issues there are.

At a guess I'd say he gave the players xmas day off from their regular training. Some respected it and went easy, but others probably got boozed and over did it.

Interesting fact during commentary, CCM are only 1 point worse off after 9 matches than they were last season. I don't see them going on a huge win streak this time tho. 0-0
