The weekend's goalkeeping blooper reel looking quite healthy. Adelaide 2-0 up off the back of two keeping errors, but WSW have just grabbed one back through Milanovic.

2-1 after 25 mins.

But ex-WSW man Dylan Pierias smashes one in from 30 yards to make it 3-1 to the Reds.

Cracking game. That's the sort of goal scoring we needed for the derby today. Ah well, maybe in the next one

If the highlights are anything to go by I shudder at what the xG must be for Victory!

Wow, Reno. 2-1

It was a lovely shot by Piscopo, a successful version of Rufer's attempt against the crossbar in R1 against WU.

From the ALW

The commentators thought it was a gust of wind that assisted the improbable goal, plus the keeper was out of position as well.

Hopefully it is a good game tonight.

Maybe it is time to give up on the Melbourne Cup Eve fixture? It always seemed to draw below average crowds for the Victory/Nix fixtures & this is another poor turn out. It doesn't seem to have caught the general Melbourne public's imagination over the years.

This would have been way better in Tarneit but guessing it is at Amy Parks for ease of travel for a night game.  0-0

Yeah I think Western United can't play either Melb City or Victory at Ironbark as the Victoria Police won't allow it, they consider the fixtures high risk.

I saw they were doing a 2 for 1 ticket deal either yesterday or today. This crowd would've looked great in Tarneit

Think I've been a bit harsh on Western on the basis of their 2 ½ games this season.

They're not flashy or a brilliant watch by any means, but they kind of remind me of where we were at last year - gritty and able to keep in games, and as it is they've got a couple of points on the board for their efforts.

They're better than I thought they would be (I had them for the spoon before a ball was kicked) and their ability to keep in games will serve them well across the season.

Should add that City have a serious injury list at the moment too, and all medium to longer term type injuries too.

Lol, just as I say that they get peeled open on the counter.

1-0 City. Nicely taken goal from Nabbout.

Now Nabbout limps off. The City dressing room looks like a hospital ward. 0-1

Ouch. Season ending stuff for Nabbout that. If Tilio has done some damage you'd imagine he'll be sitting out 3-4 weeks as well.

Kind of a shame we don't play them until January. Nabbout won't be back, but you'd assume that Tilio will.

Nabbout confirmed out for the season with an ACL. Tilio out for 4-6 weeks.
