Feverish
Must have been thirty crosses and zero half decent headers. Shocking. Cosgrove a waste of space up there.
Yes my initial theory might nave been more accurate than my second one  ( re Cosgove the worlds less mobile traffic light  ), fortunately I've lots more ......

VAR over rules the offside, 1-3!!

I saw this down the pub. What have I missed,  I thought it was well offside, only one defender in front. Was he behind the ball when passed???

If the cut on the grass is straight, he was very much onside.

What a chance for Macarthur. Vickery doesn't get the shot on target. 0-0

We’ve never had a moment’s acknowledgment or appreciation for the lone path in professional football we beat for the country or the confederation come to that, from this lot.

We took professional football to Auckland for over a decade, so that it was bubbling there where two teams had failed, before it came back.

As someone noted about Robbie Williams, the arrogant thing is only attractive when you’re winning.

Cosgrove going to ground, Woud’s protestations after sticking it to us in that podcast, Corica’s whining at the ref when they were fouling out play too, and McFlynn and Becker to boot, cos it must be the fault of the distraction of a tailgate and a water fight, all stunk up the joint big time today. The mongrels got taken to the pound.

Milligan the current star coach, perhaps only for the week. And those two knee injuries seemed nasty and a high price…

But yeh, we don’t always have to come to the most negative conclusions about our team on the forum. It’s a league full of quality and inconsistency this season and on our day we can beat anyone.

Edit: and oddly enough I thought that Francois guy was the most dangerous today when he came on. I’ve slagged him before, but fair play he delivered 4-5 dangerous balls in, before failing on that corner.

He can't.

Surely that's Staj's time done at Western Sydney.

Unrealistic to expect Chiefy to be relieved of his duties anytime soon when Stajcic hasnt been sacked yet and his Wanderers team is behind us on the table despite being stacked with quality

I know xG isn't everyone's cup of tea but this table does match the eye test. Their attack is woefully under performing and its costing them big time.

Good to see Sutts back fit and starting. 3 in a row now. Giving himself a chance at making the World Cup squad if Libby or FdV get injured

Sutts (Sam) quite lackadaisically lets a ball past him which results in the third Victory goal. 3-1

Just reading through the pages and my thoughts are exactly this. Chiefy may have the Nix underperforming but given the Nix squad, injuries etc that's a misdemeanor compared to the sharkshow Stajic is presiding over at Wanderers.

It's no exaggeration to say Wanderers should be challenging for the plate with the squad they have. They're 11th!

Getting back to the AFC tragedy...LOL. Just watched the replay. My initial thoughts on Cosgrove were correct. Hes a very limited footballer. Must have had more than six half  chances including a number of headers near the goal....for zero. Also i like the way AL refs are ignoring his constant flopping. He sits on the ground waving his arms and they ignore him. After a season and s half Corica has still not worked out his attack.

Cosgrove still manages to earn opponents a red card, or a penalty (or both) a game

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Which was absolutely what I said when he signed. He had a freak purple patch with us and then returned to form.

That based on two pens and a red against us and not much against anyone else? And a couple of goals against us to boot, which is half his season tally…

He is tied first for Goals + Assists in the league this season.

Three for me, and two for them.

Just saying we’ve helped him with that! And that’s only 4 goals. No dominant goal-scorers in the league this year like some seasons. Perhaps reflecting the drop in the TV deal.

Caught the studio team after switching over from the Nix women and they all looked bored and nearly asleep from it. As soon as I saw 0-0, I understood.
