City have done a couple card earning things with no consequences and I thought the Yellow dished out to Auckland wasn't one.

I didn't want to sound like an AFC tragic but agreed that was entirely Trewin's fault for going into a challenge knee first...

Auckland looking uncharacteristically porous here.

Genuinely think the worst thing of this league is the referees not giving immediate yellows for breaking up counter attacks.

Every player seems to be allowed 2 or 3 "free" fouls before they get carded.

It often starves games of attacking football

And Cosgrove step the hand stamp, actually has contributed nothing and wasted at least 3 chances to score. lucky he didn't get a yellow for climbing all over that city guy just now.

This be a penalty from VAR.

So they get unlucky handballs but not violent conduct. Fantastic.

De Vries doesn’t look well.

Three for me, and two for them.

Late to a head clash should be the same as late to a challenge.

Well done City, watching them first half, I didn't think they could do it after going down.

Always a good feeling when these fudgers lose. :)

Perth V Brisbane, Kersey only took 8 minutes to brandish the first yellow, all-be-it, deserved. Then another Yellow to the "afters" that followed.

THat was fun. First time AFC lose after scoring first.
They really only have themselves to blame. They score first and then always try and shut it down. This time it backfired and they let City back into the game.
Whats  the AL protocole for head knocks? De Vries didnt look great after that very heavy bang. Im surprised he didnt go off for a concussion test. Dont like seeing that.....its dangerous

Perth 1 Brisbane 2. Perth should've buried this game in the first 20 but in the 60th minute, Brisbane now well on top.

thought I'd watch the highlights packageof AFC vs City - curious to see what coverage they showed.

Randall's pass to Brook was brilliant! end of, lovely touch to score.
Auckland had a couple of decent corner chances too.
For mine the handball pen against de vries was 50/50, his arm was extended and he moved it towards his body and the ball - had he left his arm in its sarting position the ball gets passed him, or at best hits his hip. Unlucky but most VAR's give that.
The loas goal to city was all on Woud for mine, had he come towards the ball after the poor fis touch into the box he gets the chance to block the cut back or intercept the ball before the attacker even reaches it, instead he's backtracking and flat footed when te ball moves across him.

this was worrying to watch

i think the term 'duty of care' means more to some coaching teams, than others.

Ok, Goodwin scored but to me he isn't the same player before he went overseas. I think he has deteriorated.
