Not great keeping for the goal. Doesnt come fully out, is in no man's land when he is lobbed. Many a keeper would have come out faster and dealt with that

Special K!! 2-1

Wow Jaiden Kucharski who last scored against the Nix in Round 1, nabs a double for the Glory. The 2nd a rocket past a diving Woud.

Cola the assist.

Edit - Glory win 2-1. Wootton & Sutton would very much have enjoyed that.

Well done Perth, down to 3rd you go Auckland.

Only two games played there, but for now HBF Park is AFC's AAMI.
31 Jan 12:51
Maybe Woud could have done better for that second goal too? Like James' penalty it was some way inside the (near) post and at a reasonable saving height, though yes it was struck very hard and moving very quickly
31 Jan 12:51
Well that was fun. AFC to 3rd. Only one win in their last six games??
I think they have two games against Sydney coming up too. This league is too tight to call.

Was just coming here to say that HBF is currently their version of our AAMI Park curse!

Hell of a strike by Kucharski for Glory's 2nd.

And yeah I feel Woud hesitated for the 1st and made it a easier for Glory's first by not committing to coming out

Woud is gonna need some sort of security detail when he’s back in Auckland I reckon.  Vicious…
31 Jan 19:44
Now that AFC are back in the real world and become another decent team instead of unbeatable, will their crowds drop like everyone else. Jets winning and amazingly are getting bigger crowds.

I wonder how long Oli will be out. That was his golden chance to grab a starting spot for the rest of the season.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Bunge sent off for the Victory Ladies.
01 Feb 04:18
How did Canberra NOT score? Saved by the deflection onto the crossbar trick?

Ended 3-1 to Canberra, they retake 2nd position, pushing us down to 6th.  Hope our girls can do the business.
01 Feb 04:57
Canberra move up to 2nd. We really need the ladies to win today.
01 Feb 08:21
CCM down to 10 men.  They have a one nil lead.  I hope they can hold on.
01 Feb 09:00
CCM hold on despite being completely under siege.  Gutsy.  That takes them off the bottom of the table. Three points behind us.
04 Feb 03:39
City vs WSW & Sydney vs Roar in the Dub tonight. Can WSW win two on the bounce and do the Nix a favour?
04 Feb 07:07
WSW lead!! 0-1
04 Feb 08:31
WSW hold on.  A great opporutnity for our women to make the most of it.
06 Feb 09:50
Macarthur is losing at home to Perth 0-1.  Pennington scored.

06 Feb 10:27
Now it's 2-2. Another ex Nix on the scoresheet, Colavokski
07 Feb 03:18
2nd vs 3rd up in Auckland today. Hopefully they get a big crowd.

Not sure who I wanna win, probably Uffie's Sydney.
07 Feb 03:54
A draw perhaps?  Bet Woud will play a blinder either way
07 Feb 04:22
1:0 Sydney with a comical defence.

Very good save by Woud there. 1-0

This is like watching peak Rory Delap here. 1-0

lol Sakai has been disagreeing  intensely with the ref  a bit recently. He was noticeably a bit more forthright than some of his countrymen in his career. He’s a solid lad. I’d love to see Cosgrove get on his wrong side tbh!

This is frustrating to watch, so much energy, both are just much better teams than us.

I haven’t seen so much in-team celebrations/amazement since an u-7 game when that unco kid kicked the ball 2metres forward.
07 Feb 04:57
I dunno.

Eze is fairly good. He can hit a goal from anywhere, any way you like. Nagasawa can pass a ball. Armiento can hit one. Payney in form, is as good as anyone on the flanks there.
I like Rufer a lot better than Verstraete or any Sydney player.
Piper is football joy. Tuiloma, James, Singh and Hughes can match anyone in either team on their day.
Sander is as yet an unknown quantity. Mileusnic has toiled well. Najjarine has mixed opinions, but gets through some work.
Remember both teams and coaches have been through slumps too.
We’ve lacked a cutting edge, having put away Sydney we should have beaten City and I really thought there was something there for us against Victory too.
But I don’t think there’s an enormous gap between us. We’ve just been slow to catch up in the last two games…

That is some miss by May. 1-0

Personally, I think we are on the whole playing well. The formations suits the personnel we have & no more ridiculously high line. What is frustrating, is the soft goals we are conceding. Take those away and we would be picking up points and moving up the table.

Another miss by May. He is having a terrible second season.  1-0

Looks like he just forgot that last miss.

Total level up from last night
07 Feb 05:19
Eff me, another fantastic chance missed by Cosgrove this time. 1-0

Good to see Cosgrove found his master in Devilish, what a save!
07 Feb 05:24
Not watching but is Sydney rubbish again?
