oh no, VAR says no.  So not the 900th goal. Still 2 nil
26 Jan 08:24
I'd say that is game over 3-0.
26 Jan 08:28
Victory add another.  Not a great night for Sydney.

After a very dull first half, it has really come alive now.

All over, Victory win 4-0.  How on earth they lost to Western Sydney Wanderers is mind boggling.

Seeing Dura in Victory colours is so vomit inducing.

Heat preparedness actions that might have seemed unnecessary a couple of weeks ago could save Auckland FC as soon as this weekend.

Even before the temperatures in Australia were rising to record levels, at their training base in Albany Auckland FC players were training in jackets, reminiscent of raincoats, while the sun shone to ready themselves for hot temperatures during A-League games across the Tasman.

The "heat exposure" jackets and three times a week sauna sessions are part of what the players are doing this season to bridge the gap between home and away conditions.

C'mon Jets

Penaldo time

I was hoping that Eze could hold onto top spot in the golden boot to himself.

Jets leading at half time due to the penalty they scored.

Meanwhile Adelaide women (at home) are leading Melbourne City 2 nil

In the Sydney Civil war match it is 1-1

Over 12,000 inside McDonald Jones. Winning team...

I don't care who it is, I'm happy for any A League club to see the crowds return.
The League needs all the good news stories it can get.

Though maybe happier for the 'box office' Jets than say if it was VUC.

Jets deserved on top of the ladder, great footy.
88min  3:1 up and they still going forward and want more.

4:1 again
31 Jan 08:21
Agreed. A few more of these 12k+ crowds will no-doubt really help boost their coffers for this season and next. Will only help the league to have one-less struggling team.

Plus, the Jets really are box-office viewing at the moment!

Did some searching and it's their biggest home crowd in all competitions since the 17/18 GF when they finished runners-up. Over 29k showed up for that. Also the last season they actually made finals. The season after that they had one match which was attended by close to 12k.

I'm happy for them and hope they go all the way, Newcastle winning the league any day over Auckland.

Sydney get a goal back 1-1.

Lol through Thomas's legs
31 Jan 08:53
Omg Thomas. 1-1
31 Jan 08:56
This might end 4-4.

Three for me, and two for them.

Sydneys' 900th goal.

Was on the outer at his Championship side. Played 180 odd Premiership games, 130 odd Championship games. Former Scottish international. Definitely one of the best pedigrees we have seen in the ALm recently. 1-1

Buffon II
This might end 4-4.

Sold!
31 Jan 09:31
I think this Fraser guy is going to be a handful for our guys.
31 Jan 09:53
Sydney go ahead 2-1
31 Jan 09:56
Again the add another 3-1.  Exciting stuff
31 Jan 10:08
Sail starting for AFC
31 Jan 10:10
Sydney make it 4-1.  What a response to last weeks match
31 Jan 10:18
Happy we picked up a win against them when we did.

And is Kosta injured? Off at half time in the derby otherwise. I wonder if that will refocus selectors minds?

31 Jan 10:29
On the subject of which- Woud benched for Sail. Cold.

The only thing more interesting than this is if AFC picked up Matt Ridenton for next season!

Ref needs to control this match better
31 Jan 11:18
As the YouTube chat comments say : “trash game!”
31 Jan 11:18
Just tuned in and May loses the ball twice in 2 mins

Seems a shadow of last season’s player

Oh and Pijnaker off with some sort of leg injury
31 Jan 11:29
Randall awesome.
Overtaking Barba in the AWs pecking order
31 Jan 11:29
What a goal.  World Cup bound, buddy.
31 Jan 11:38
I'd start Randall up-front as striker for the AWs if Wood is not fit.
31 Jan 11:53
Cola on at HT. So the Glory with four ex Nix players on the park

Sail hurts his standing leg from a goal kick (apparently might have dislocated his knee), Woud comes on and 10 mins later gets lobbed from a route one Wootton assist.

Apart from goal kicks I don't think Woud has touched the ball yet. Both his goal kicks direct into touch. To be fair a bit of breeze now.
