To fully appreciate you should except the Mariners development of their Training academies and the COE plus the Private Football School have and are developing some of Australia’s best young talent … off the top of my head developed via our academy and youth systems .. Ryan, Sainsbury, Amini, Rogic, Abibi, Caceres .. you could also add Bozanic, Wilkson, Jedi in career development ..

To the past, roughly three weeks ago it was revealed that Chinese investors plan to invest ONE BILLION dollars in the CC of which half is buying existing businesses and developing them and the other half in building a replica of the hidden city.

Today it has been proudly announced by Gosford council over 500 million dollars of investment proposals for Gosford CBD last month..

Thats 1.5 billion dollars of which 1 billion is new work and a fair bit of the other 500 million is new work as well…

All this investment has to in some way help the Mariners but given the first billion is being invested leas than 10 Kls from the COE and the 500 million in Gosford next to CC Stadium…

I believe our development academies and COE will grow beyond our wildest dreams and this ensure the long held dream of always getting Australia best youth...

Link to the Gosford CBD investment …

Just some of the developments.

Plus if you read the article two massive investments in the heart of Gosford…

Good for Gosford, although a replica of the forbidden city seems cheesy, the real forbidden city (brought to you by American express - I'm not kidding) can be a big enough tourist trap.

The replica of the hidden city is expected to cost 500 million to build, the land purchases was over 30 million from Wyrong council... It is said to be an exact replica i.e building for building statute for stature, the investors believe it will become Australia's biggest tourist when finished.

Maybe its the Chinese revenge for Clive's comments... Clive could become the model for the Budda statute maybe...

Seriously they are talking about thousands of jobs once its opened and the Tourist would be mainly Chinese...

Central Coast Mariners are confident they will be granted use of Central Coast Stadium for their opening game of the A-League season having vowed to clear all outstanding stadium-related debt by the end of next week.

four players not in match day squad, including Montgomery and Simon, drinking at fan's bar pregame today. That's not a good look.

Looking forward to this game to see if Perth can beat CCM away for the first time. TAB says no, but I reckon Perth will be top of the league tonight.

Hmmm... If 23 players are saying the coach is shit, do you change the players or the coach..... I know the easy fix to that one which might fix a few other problems.

Contrary to media reports, as of this morning Malick Mané has not been released from his loan agreement with Central Coast Mariners FC.

Mané requested a release late last week citing personal/family issues related to not settling in Australia.

After meetings with the player Central Coast Mariners FC are open to releasing Mané from his loan spell in Australia on compassionate grounds, but no paperwork has yet been finalised.

Central Coast Mariners FC strongly reject that Mané swore at his teammates during the half time break of Wednesday’s Westfield FFA Cup semi-final against Adelaide United, as has been reported by some media.

Mané did express his disappointment at being told of his impending substitution in the change rooms in Adelaide, but did not direct anything towards his teammates, the coaching staff, or club.

Should a mutual termination of Malick Mané’s loan agreement with Central Coast Mariners FC occur, the Club will update its members, fans and media.

Central Coast Mariners will support Malick Mané to the best of its abilities until his playing future is resolved – be that with the Club or elsewhere.

Why would the FFA let them go into Sydney when there is a 'Sydney FC' and they can go play in the north. I find that really really strange.

It would be similar if the Phoenix said they wanted to play games on the Gold Coast cause there are Kiwis in Surfers. No they, have Brisbane Roar to support.

Amazingly similar story to us though. I'm surprised that Gosford has to get 10k through the gates to break even. Seeing as CCM are the only tenants surely they can negotiate the price down?

Silent protest at Friday's game. In other words, they'll just be as loud as they usually are.

Fair enough. A team can't have two homes. I think there are some big differences between what is happening on the Central Coast and the Phoenix. North Sydney Oval is only being used because it is so cheap. At least we actually get a good crowd when we play in Auckland/Christchurch. Even though we have lost some games from Wellington, we know that the team always will be the Wellington Phoenix.

Some people could say the same about us Patrick, so I wouldn't get on a high horse.
