Scum. As we suspected.

Jebes Rudan.

Can we change the title of this thread and throw in an 'Honourable' in there somewhere?

So Rudan is people's most hated Nix manager now, beating Kalezic?

Perfect way to describe it. I feel like we've been left in a situation only slightly better than last year as the younger players have come through but still gonna need another big rebuild to be competitive.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I'd say yeah, Kalezic just wasn't up to it, not really a reason to hate him.

Rudan, however, arrived gave it all I'm a kiwi now and then when the rumours started it was all I've not signed with anyone etc when its pretty clear he's been with Western United for a while.

Yip Mark Judan was leaving us to go back to his family, that's why he's now in Melbourne...

That's the thing about the situation obviously leaving the club for another and taking players with you is a snakey thing to do but does happen a lot but what actually makes this snakey is how he handled everything with all his bullshark he was saying at the start and then blaming Well Nix for not investing enough and saying he hasn't signed anything.

23 May 03:33

I'd say yeah, Kalezic just wasn't up to it, not really a reason to hate him.

Well, if the story about the Fiji rugby jersey is true, that's a good reason to hate DK.

Judan treated our players with respect while he was here (clearly because he was grooming them to be poached, but never mind)

hasn't taken any other players yet?

WU seem like an odd lot. We've known this for a while. If he takes Dura, Krishna or Williams it'll be interesting. Also the decision not to start our best creative player in the elimination final the same...

Think he was an overall positive at the moment. Showed a template.

WU though. Super strange folk.

Not sure we're in a position yet to judge the respective messes. Much will depend on what happens over the next few weeks and months.

fingers crossed

Reading the stuff article Judan essentially claims that burgess and Kurto asked him to negotiate the transfer to WU. Hmmmmmmm I wonder how they knew you were going you snake!

If dura, Williams or Krishna go he will have essentially destroyed the club for next season, no in a bigger mess than when he arrived. You could argue we are in a bigger mess now, cos with one season left and only 7 players signed, we've got very little to offer prospective stars. Had he stayed we'd still have a full squad building on a good first season.

Just another typical Australian who thinks that if they haven't broken any rule then there can be no issue with it.

Independent in fact - unlikely

Independent in appearance - absolutely not

23 May 04:54

I think there are very good grounds to dislike Mark Rudan absolutely. I will say however, perhaps this is karma for the McGlinchey transfer drama? We all closed our eyes and looked the other way on that one and I don't think we were squeaky clean.

In terms of balance, I think we have just received our "What goes around comes around" moment.

They took Burgess and Kurto. Not the end of the world. We'll get Marinovic and have Singh..

That may be true, but he’s nicked a few of the cleaning products

23 May 07:30

Silver lining, we have a genuine rival club now to hate. I hope we give them an absolute thumping when they come to Westpac next season, and that Judan kops it. Fudgeing hate the flogs now

He and his employment contract has a lot to answer for in this cluster fudge

Instead he is avoiding the media

23 May 07:52

Very disappointed in Mark’s reasoning and timing and a few glaring points - did he play Burgess instead of Singh in the Elimination Final to give Burgess - someone he knew he had signed at WU - Finals experience - at the expense of Singh?  I had a huge amount of respect for Mark, but this now is just a very little.  If he now flogs Krishna, Williams and Dura then my respect goes negative big time.

it pisses me off because if we had a manager for the last 3-4 months who was intending to stay, they could have been grooming our players for contract extensions. Instead we had a powerful judas grooming our players to abandon the nix

23 May 12:20

always thought it from the start that he was a judas as we say.  hes completely contradicted himself by saying it was too hard being in nz so needed out of his contract yet he is still moving to a separate state to his family.  find it funny that after his 40 minute speech everyone was in awe of how humble he was during his speech.  this was always going to happen.  should be booed everytime he coaches vs wphx especially if he takes more players.  kurto especially best keeper the league has seen in my opinion burgess a good depth option and most likely at least one more.

You cannot say that McGlinchey deal worked in our favour... He was so poor.

Can't help but feel that Welnix have been played for fools on this one.

If Dome had any balls on this one he would have accepted the immediate resignation from Rudan which iirc, he tried to offer after our 2-1 defeat in  Brisbane (feel free to correct me, memory is a bit hazy) but instead he gets more time with players, of which a couple have subsequently taken up offers - and who knows if there will be any more... I sort of feel as though that last 7-8 games just became a whole situation of conflict of interest where players were signing for the bitumens while he was still under contract with us in Wellington, of which you couldn't tell me otherwise that he didn't have some sort of involvement.

Presume the family will be making the trek down to Melbourne too? I guess the only project he really had in mind was to move on to the next project. Whatever has transpired, it all just seems weak to me.

If he quit after the Roar game, that wouldn't have stopped him from talking to our players. Any off contract player can be approached.

The one thing I have taken from this when I look at the contract of the some of the bunnies we have had, to some of the talent we have let go, to Kalezic, Rudan and others is that it is impossible for anyone to defend Dome on the player contract/recruitment front.

I get its a hit and miss situation in a few cases but surely we would have learned by now. He simply sucks at it

We just don't seem to learn do we?

Also, I have said it before but you CANNOT trust a thing that comes out of Domey's mouth, you just can't.  He has said a bunch of things that have ended up being transparently false
