They have binned Jaliens (who has taken up a injury contract with City) and have signed Boogard for next season.

Lee Ki-Je re-signs with the Jets. He has been rather good for them since signing.

Tinkler’s stressed financial position has been well documented, including a garnishee order that allows the Australian Tax Office to intercept the monthly grant the club receives from FFA.

This has resulted in players and staff being paid late in the past two monthly wage cycles.

I had wondered  why the FFA grant wasn't being used to pay the players. Seems rather harsh from the Government taking money that has to be paid to the employees.

Tinkler given 24 hours to pay up apparently

I hope both Newcastle and Brisbane have to be taken over by the FFA and it takes years for them to find a buyer. Or someone gets the Newcastle license and moves the team to Auckland. Dreams are free.......

Can you imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the Ockers if we had the Auckland Jets? We'd have to rename it the ANZ-League. Hey, and we'd have a ready made sponsor!

"I wasn't willing to pay the wages"

It's not an optional exercise...you have contracts with the players and staff...you can't use wages as a tool to blackmail the FFA with...

If he paid his taxes, the ATO wouldn't be garnishing the FFA distribution for the players wages.

Tinkler says the club could be sold to Scottish club Dundee United for $5-million, if that sale is permitted by Football Federation Australia.

He said the sale hinges on whether FFA revoke’s his ownership licence.

“I have been in negotiations with the FFA over the last few days and wasn’t able to get them to guarantee the licence,” Tinkler told
News Corp on Wednesday.

“And I haven’t been willing to pay wages unless they guaranteed that so I have put the club into administration just now.”

Tinkler says the offer from Dundee is well in excess of his debts.

“The only risk to that is if the FFA decide to act in a morally bankrupt manner and take the licence and that presents a whole bunch of other issues,” said Tinkler.

Sounds like Tinkler is trying to force the FFA's hand? Let me sell it for 5m or you will have to take back ownership

They will be offered contracts with the new entity, presumably on the same terms as their previous contracts

Pretty sure when the FFA took the Phoenix license off of Serepisos and passed it to the current owners the players all had to re-sign but on the same terms.

Ramon should send them a CV. Good opportunity to build a club how he wants with a pretty depleated squad. Hopefully this means Stubbins is out.

Ironically, I believe Ramon came to NZ and to ACFC after having met ACFC board member Colin Cook in Europe, and Colin Cook happens to be a Scot and a Dundee Utd fanatic!

Juric obviously couldn't pick up a European deal? Juric is a player who looks a million dollars but his A-league record doesn't scream European star.

We know Scott Miller will be named Jets coach tomorrow. But Jean Paul de Marigny will be his assistant

From Ray Gatt.

Scott Miller was an assistant coach at Fulham and hand picked by Ange for the Jets job is sounds. de Marigny was an assistant at the Victory before leaving after their GF win.

It is understood the Jets have about $800,000 left to spend in the $2.55million salary cap on nine players.

That's not too bad. If you get a 3 minimums in at $165k, that still leaves you $650k for 6 players. At near $100k each (or juggling about) you should be able to get some players with that.

Grumpy old bastard alert
