Fringe Socceroo Riley McGree has officially informed Adelaide United of his intent to leave Hindmarsh for Belgium’s Club Brugge.

Adelaide United football manager Ante Kovacevic told The Advertiser it was now a matter of the Reds and Club Brugge ‘finalising’ paper work and agreement for the boom 18 year old to leave.

Gameiro to Brisbane? Would make a ton of sense, they have no one up front right now.

They could use another wide forward but they lowballed him last time, so he left. After his short stint in Adelaide, I dunno if any club will take the risk of him not seeing out his contract again.

Chamakh being shopped around the league? Apparently turned down a Victory offer.

Is it just me or is the player-hopping around the A-League out of control? Up there with the NRL these days...

Jamieson just signed for his 5th A-League club...

I don't pay all that much attention to the off-season recruiting of other clubs but every season I'm surprised at who is running around in what jersey compared to the season before.

Always been the case, but it makes sense when there is a very small pool of teams and players who are largely stuck there because of work visa restrictions.

WSW target Oriol Riera has been released by his club & in other news WSW are making a signing announcement at 2:30pm. Co-incidence?

Chris Herd played with WSW in a closed door game tonight. Maybe he isn't gonna give the Glory another go?

After years of struggling to make ends meet, Central Coast Mariners are on the cusp of unveiling a marquee signing with former Australian youth international Daniel De Silva poised to join the club on a long-term deal.

One of the most highly-rated prospects in Australian football is awaiting clearance from Italy to finalise a transfer from Serie A giants, Roma, before he will sign a three-year deal with the Mariners, where it is understood he will become registered as a marquee player.

That does seem to be a bit excessive. I hope they are not paying Roma anything, DDS' transfer from the Glory looks so dodgy.

Isaias failed to train at Elizabeth on Friday with uncontracted Red Marc Marino a surprise pre-season sighting given the striker had signed for Campbelltown in the NPL after former Newcastle Jets and Reds defender Daniel Mullen trained under Kurz earlier this week.

But Mayer declared Kurz will have new stock to work with in the coming days as Adelaide closes in on two foreign signings along with three Australians currently on the radar.

It is understood one of the foreigners is a German No. 10 playmaker while the other is an attacking midfielder. An Australian stopper who played abroad is also on the radar, Mayer added.

HERD OFF TO SYDNEY

Gillingham midfielder Chris Herd has joined Western Sydney Wanderers on a two-year deal.

The 28-year-old Australia international, who made 12 appearances for the Gills in Sky Bet League One last season, is happy to return home.

"I've had great memories in England, I've spent the biggest part of my career there so far but this is my next chapter and I'm fully focused on doing well for the Wanderers," he told the A-League club's website.

"I'm delighted to get it over the line and get signed in time for Saturday, and I'm looking forward to the season ahead."
