Potential game against WSW on 28 Sept at RoF dependent on WSW's run in the ACL. Away game to Sydney the previous week too.

Was behind the Nix bench, Ernie was constantly yelling at Gorrin for getting too far forward when we had the ball. He also spoke to the guys on the bench about wanting Rufer dropping into the hole between the defence & midfield, feeding the ball wide for Boyd & Brockie to run onto it. Very much how the 2nd and 3rd goals were scored.

You understand scottish?

Was with an old dear, my young niece and brother in law. So quite possibly.

Not sure what Ernie was trying with Watson in the second half. He was almost in a #10 role, with Hicks in front of him.

My sister was wearing the Tui hat.

I would guess crowd at 1000 ish. Three deep in places around the park. Well done people of Upper Hutt.

Nix always comfortable but Upper Hutt had some good moments in first half. Gorrin and Rierra looked good again. Looking forward to seeing Wee Mac and Burns in the mix.

The clubs room was packed. Top draw save from the Upper Hutt keeper about 2 mins into the game. Gorrin speaks excellent Mackem. When Ernie spoke little sub titles appeared before my eyes. He seems quite a nice guy with a great attitude and friendly manner. Riera was looking quite sharpe. Played well and signed his tee shirt that I was wearing. New club legend. Rieralution rules!

Don't think the message was getting over to that side of the field. Eventually came over for instructions, as Lonegunman said has a very mackam accent. Once Wee Mac is here, he can translate Ernie for the rest of the squad.

Interesting that Gorrin is wearing number 8 with his name on the back, so obviously that will be his squad number.

So if Ifill is going to make a comeback, it will be with a different number.

I know it is only local club opposition at the moment, but the partnership between Gorrin and Riera is looking very prmising.

No sign of Lia or Sigmund tonight either.  Also thought Boxall looked very assured alongside Dura

Hopefully not number 17 otherwise he'll be sacked. Oh that's right,  this isn't Leeds United.

Something I noticed tonight. Boxall is as tall as Moss then everyone else comes in at 6 or more inches shorter. Wee Mac might end up being wee wee mac.

Three nil. Goals to Waikato Ball from 30 yards out, Boyd with a tap in at the back post following a peach of a ball across goal and a barnstorming run down the left flank from Krishna for the third.

Scored a good long range goal. Not sure he touched the ball other than that.

Anyone taking a car from the city? I am working near the bus station, live at the bottom of Onslow Road Khandallah, and I am looking for a lift to (either from the Thistle, or from my place in Khandallah/Old Hutt Road) and from the ground.
