Nice work Paul

(and Phoenix)

We used it a lot last year - didn't think we would but ended up that way.  Previously we had never used it for football games (@ $30).  Stadium got a bit of extra coin that they wouldn't have normally got.

that wording suggests its $10 for everyone. Though I suspect its just members right?

It depends on how Paul worded his question and asked "Will season ticket holders get $10 parking again this season?"

have to say that I did ask specifically about season ticket holders (being a season ticket holder)

Never trust Schmiddy's grammar. He does only have a Coll education after all.

So..

Interesting that WP aren't reporting an updated season ticket sales figure.

I may be wrong but the 1000 number seems a bit unlikely...an estimate/guess perhaps?

Is the true number still being worked through, post FU Tour?

I would imagine the focus for the Nix would have been the huge ticketing challenge for the 4 FU games first then reviewing the season ticket sales/renewals resulting from it later.

I'm hoping that's the case.

If in fact that's all the season tickets that were sold from the FU Tour then, sorry Thunderstix, but that's not a very successful outcome, is it?

You would surely have wanted more. Opportunity missed perhaps. What didn't work and why?

As a matter of interest, I wonder if every person based in Wellington region that bought a ticket to the FU games (and isn't already a Nix season ticket holder) is getting a followup special offer for season 14/15 NIx tickets?

the ability to opt in to automatic renewal for season tickets. Prompt people if they'd like to have their ticket automatically renew when they purchase the season pass.

That way:

a) makes the process as simple as possible for people every year (no having to deal with ticketek)

b) saves the nix and ticketek some time - less work

c) you don't lose those people who are 'so-so' about renewing and end up deciding that they can't be bothered.

Am potentially going to become a first time season ticket holder this season. Due to another Sunday evening commitment we've been unable to make the 5pm Sunday games so with the majority of home games being that time for the last couple of seasons we've just been getting tickets when we could go. But looks like Sunday night is becoming free this season so will buy 2 season tickets if so.

Without understanding it much and not wanting to read the whole thread, can anyone summarise what the membership gives you that the season ticket doesn't? Sounds a little odd that a season ticket holder won't be a "member."

Basically you get a Members Cap & access to a Facebook page. It is just a way for those who can afford more to give more money towards the club. Premium Club = Season Ticket + Club Membership.

So members get a members only cap, but season ticket holders get a members only scarf, but members don't...very well thought through

I read it that members get both cap and scarf...if its that hard to interpret this, no wonder weemac saga goes on.

Wtf? No, that is not what it says...

Premium Club get both a scarf and a cap.

Season ticket holders get a scarf but no cap.

Club members get a cap but no scarf.

Season ticket holders, who are NOT members, getting a members only scarf is stupid. They should get a season ticket holder's scarf.

Members, not getting a members only scarf is also stupid. If they are members, and they are members only scarves, they should get one. If they are season ticket holder's scarves (which it appears they should be, not members only scarves) then they should not get one, unless they become a "Premium Club" category member, in which case they get both.

And people wonder why people find it confusing...

If the "Members scarf" was called a "Season Ticket holders scarf", then this wouldn't be a problem at all. There's no point in anyone getting all angsty just because the name of a thing is slightly incorrect, it's quite obvious what it actually is from that chart.

I'm sure 1000s of people are not buying season memberships because they're so outraged about not getting a hat or scarf.

Who cares?

Add that to the 1000s who get so confused by the fact that there are 3-4 different member options that they accidentally go buy a Ferrari instead, and the club are missing out on some serious money.

Just on your cap and scarf, and maybe  you guys do the same thing... The Mariners  members this season [first time it was done this way] have been offered add ons to your membership. So if you wanted a Cap, Scarf,  Shirt, Shorts etc their was a cost, and that cost paid received membership discounts.

In prior years you were issued with a cap and scarf etc regardless if you wanted one or not, this way you can say I want a Mug, Beach Towel or whatever the club is selling or just buy a entry and have your seat confirmed ... got lots of likes and thumps up and most are much happier this way . The idea came out of a fans forum with management.

How does membership work with the home games away from Wellington (ie, Eden Park)? Do you still scan your card or do you have to get a new ticket? I assume you don't have to pay for a ticket?

Usually you get given a paper ticket free of charge if you contact Ticketek and ask for one and demostrate that you are a season ticket holder.

I say "Usually" because not all games away from Wellington but in New Zealand are home games. Sometimes they are the FFA regional round and they are actually an away game for the Nix, in which case your season membership does not get you a ticket...

Sad to say the Phoenix, through no fault of their own, are peeing in the wind when it comes to increasing support beyond the committed. Two of my friends with soccer mad kids who live in Raumati didn't go to the game on Sunday. They couldn't even give any reason, never mind a good reason for not going. Sadly, increasing support is based on the tried and true Kiwi Way, winning games and titles
