I'm not the boss... shocking oversight on my part.
Define near ?
Concrete paths around most of it with just a fence about 12-15 ft from the pitch. You're not allowed on the surface but you can be as close as you are up the bank at Newtown 2.

Remember when I was in Jakarta looking for a cheap pirated Indonesian shirt? (As an aside I am wearing it right now in support of Mr. Bambang - maybe I should keep it on until he is signed?)
I looked far and wide in shops looking for the shirt (cost about $4.60 from memory) but had a LOT of trouble finding them in stores or even street markets where you'd expect to find them. I looked in advance because I knew Nike made the original shirt and as a sponsor wouldn't have allowed fakes to be sold at the ground.
After a long hunt I managed to get one and wore it to the stadium - where hundreds of sellers were hawking off fake shirts. In fact you couldn't buy a licensed shirt at the ground.
WTF? lol

Ah yes, the Southeast Asia I know and love!
I think the main reason local football shirts are hard to find however is that everyone follows the EPL religiously and not local stuff.

My point was that they are easy to find but they don't do licensed stuff
Hence limiting the potential dollarz to be made out of Indonesia.
A lot of the younger elite are preferring licensed products these days though.

yes, and for both him and Toto - i hope the fans give them time to make the transition in styles, instead of jumping to conclusions after 20 mins!

Right, totally agree with your point.
I wonder if the FFA would get a TV deal out of Indonesia if we sign him, therefore they could potentially get more benefit than the Phoenix.

Thought the team as a whole looked pretty sharp, but it's a while since a spied a training session and my benchmark is the Island Bay reserves of 25 years ago!

That's definitely a more likely money spinner IMO.
Not sure how much more can be fitted into Indonesian TV - even though they have heaps of channels they have their own professional(?) league which is really big. There is also a Pay TV network but I have no idea about penetration (the monthly fee starts at like $30 per month which is 20% of many people's monthly wage!!)

Will definitely go to the last pre season game against NZ U-20 to take a look at Bambang and other new signings

Toto played some good quick short balls into feet to open open new angles (so that might reassure some who felt he had showboating tendencies in the Boca game)
seemed to play quite deep but possibly looking for the ball and it was in an (approx) 8 v 8 context
missed a decent chance from about 15 metres(but not a sitter by any means)and had quite an interesting reaction
which indicated that he wants to do well
I wasn't discouraged at all by what I saw
Musa made some effective interceptions, btw

Can someone tell me where and when this game is on Saturday? And is it likely to feature Bambang at some stage during the game?

12.30 Hutt Park, every expectation that BamBam will play a role

Thanks to a google translation, earlier today bambam's twitter said: "Okay, this is difficult choices .."
Must be about the nix. Not the most groundbreaking news ever but its something for you bambam fans

Does that indicate we've made an offer? And he is not sure whether he wants to sign here.

hmmmmm, i think it could be... i personally hope he signs despite only having this place and youtube to help in making this statement

He also said the other day that he hopes Nandos is open

By the way if anyone needs a reminder of the Phoenix fixtures this year, you can always refer to my Twitter page which has a fixture list for 2010/11. Currently decked out with Bambang colours - hopefully I won't have to take these down...
