I will give the club credit.  Unlike certain other clubs <cough>Melbourne Victory<cough> an uproar from the 'active' support hasn't changed the clubs mind.

They know that while we're part of the support we're not the majority so our views shouldn't influence delivery for the other 2,500 (or more).

I believed you right up till then!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

So my theory for this Brandon (if you buy in) is that we have the Brazilian flags and the fever flags near the front of the zone, so when we run out the big banner (with Yellow Fever on it) the flags at the front will seem part of the display.  It will also negateany chance they block thie view of punters (me) further up?

Thoughts?

THe win over Sydney we got it right, then wrong against Perth although after it had been done it kind of rolled into the correct tune after people had sat down again.

That's cool too.

Although, I reckon if I can wave a 4 metre by 4 metre flag successfully without it blocking your view, apart from perhaps fleetingly during celebrations or non-ball-in-play moments, I reckon I could be trusted to wave a MUCH smaller Brazilian flag at appropriate flag waving moments (such as Daniel scoring, Daniel completing his hatrick and pulling off his stripey to reveal a neon lime green mankini underneath, etc.) without it getting in the way of your viewing pleasure...

We cool?

Cool.

The rules around the Yellow Army flags is that they have to be down before opening whistle and can't come up until end of half etc.  If we go forward and use some angle hopefully we can avoid that.

From a different perspective, why weren't the details about the charity day included in the first press release about the Black-out day?

I will sit and wait to see what else is going to be tacked on to this game to bring in punters.

Maybe the deal to football clubs will be extended to the general public.

Cool.

And don't worry. When I get my new FOBE Nix flag made, soon, I'll go elsewhere in the ground, so your view is not blocked... It might be the start of a Thordonside group who one day might be able to chant back and forth chants with the fever...

Another approach that might be worth considering is flag waving could be at the back of the fever zone so that the "don't obstruct my view" faction can enjoy their unobstructed view and the flag waving fanatics can wave flags till their arms drop off.

Has that been discussed/proposed/tried before?

Can;t imagine it being a problem but it would be lost in the shadows back there.  The front will be in the sun (fingers croseed) and slap bang in view of the pitch and TV cameras.

Yep, cool, still.

I'm all over down the front too. Just asking... Hopefully when Daniel scores his second goal it'll be down at the fever end and he'll be able to come over to the brazilian flag waving contingent down the front and we can all get teary eyed together etc. - all without blocking anyone's view.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

btwcf. I am most likely up for the game, actually probably 97% chance i'll be at the game. So if i'm at the game and my dad doesn't mind i'll come join you to wave the flags. I'll PM you closer to the game whether or not ill be there and we'll sort it from there. (This being you don't mind me being there haha)

Sweet, Tom. You're in. I don't mind at all. Flag wavers are a special breed, and need to be encouraged and nurtured at every turn.

Your dad is free to come and join us too if you can pressure him into it. I can offer him a Brazilian flag too if he is keen.

No I think he has an earthquake or a Tsunami when the fans are asked to wear a black (in a completely stupid idea) for a one off

Ha, this just reminded me of a priest from the neighbourhood I grew up in who used to tell the boys "if you masturbate, in God's eyes you will be the same as mass murderers".

We used to joke about this endlessly.
