The generally assumed view at games seems to be that Boxall will end up with Brockie in South Africa.

Pretty obvious it isn't him. I've changed his member title anyway. Should we also ban Buffy?

I like Hicks and would keep him as a squad player but could see him wanting to move on to get game time elsewhere.

JBS is at that awkward stage where he isn't a young player anymore but not close to breaking thru into the first team, I think we will move onto a WeeNix kid or one of the u20s (Wynne?)

Really hope we keep Boxall. Siggy & Dura need to be replaced and there isn't really anyone coming thru, Boxall is the best option around to do that imo.

The thing with Hicks is that he is rare in being left footed. Declan Wynne is also left footed so thats a good call Ryan.

Good left footed players are harder to find I think so if we have them, keep them.

Hicks can also strike a dead ball, which is also a rarity in our squad

Buffon isn't a Phoenix player. Also, doesn't post as Buffon, and doesn't post as Buffon to be derogatory to Buffon...so yeah, that analogy doesn't really work.

Buffon is a nice word.

Anyway, can we take that to the whinging thread. I'd expect Hick to get re-signed given it appears he is above Rufer/Ridenton in the pecking order.

JBS might get another year now that Boxall is pretty much leaving.

So Ernie is looking for a CB, a striker (of which he could use either on the foreign spot) and perhaps a couple of fillers and that could be Hicks, JBS or others. I think Blake will be one.

I'm happy for Hicks to stay. He puts through some really nice passes. 

She has a fitness training role. Jobs have been hard to come by since Sunnydale sank into the ground.

Just for the record, I am prepared to give Joel Griffiths ( the real sone not the fake one) the benefit of the doubt. When he puts on the stripey he is a Phoenix player. 

And I might even cheer if he scores a goal or two for us.

So....... if Boyd and Boxall are both leaving, is the Riera chant cursed? Kenny at the end of his contract, bye bye Fenton next?

Kudos to Billy for that interview. I reckon he did well. Let's hope "a couple of goals" come sooner rather than later.

Good interview, doesn't apologise for being a sharkcod, but says the right things. Looks a bit tired, so maybe a bit of time on a Welly beach in between training will sort him out, but seemed respectful enough and a decent pro. The proof of the pudding, as he says, will be a couple of goals. See what we think about him after that.

Thought it was good interview,  he seems positive about the way we are playing.  He might have been a prick when we played against him, but he is our prick now so I support him.  I hope he scores the winner today
