They tried to do it earlier in the season and clashed heads with the FFA aswell.

Does anyone remember that 60 Minutes interview where he said he wanted to have a football club because he liked to make people happy.

Very end of this

I'm sure telling someone they can't watch the football even though there are 17,000 empty seats is going to make them happy.

I have it from a rather strange source and am likely to be proven incredibly wrong but I have heard 25,000 tickets have been sold for this weekend. Make of that what you will

Predictions on crowd today? With all the talk of lack of all white tickets, labour weekend, lack of trains and some sweet sweet weather; I predict around 8,000 men, women and children will be there today.

Napier tournament has taken hundreds away from Wellington

Labour Weekend also sees people leave, but admittedly others arrive in town

Rimutaka Hill road also closed for most of the day, so maybe less from Wairarapa today

And with the Trains being down it'll make getting there more difficult.

Stop being so precious. It is obvious to ANYONE who buys a ticket and goes to the game that they could get in with any ticket unless the barcode scanners are so intelligent they can tell if you are an adult / child / student.

I mentioned this practice going on towards the end of last season on this board, in a negative way I might add, does this mean I am responsible for inadvertantly suggesting it too?

How come?? Surely that can't be right can it? Trains off, and that road closed? People from Wairarapa trapped in Wellington?

of course not, it's the promotion of the idea that gets to me and most other fans.

I think the wording of whooooooooooo's comment has caused the issue, I'm not sure he was promoting the idea.

I don't think it needs promoting anyway, those who want to do it will do it.

They should really try and clamp down on it IMO. Random checks maybe since it's too difficult to check everyone I guess.

yes, the wording has caused some problems.

what i was trying to get across was if you are that bloody concerned about ticket prices and are not going because of that, then buy a couple of kids tickets.

i would rather folk do that then not come at all.

people like scottishboy should not or lose sleep over this.

todays game was over 6k. if you look at the crowd figures from the other clubs then we are not doing too bad. if you check out the wellington westpac stadium annual drafts it shows crowd figures at ROF since the nics started.

What was the official crowd today?

6,500?

Edit - 6507 the official crowd.

They never mentioned it on tv.

I was wrong too, but the crowd was very vocal today. Excellent stuff. Shame that our next game is on a Wednesday, I reckon we could have built on todays performance.
