Tratt scores yet again for Sydney, currently leading Adelaide 2-0. Good result for us

Third club he's left in the last 6 months

He has gone to Croatia, linking up with NK Inter-Zaprešić (his 20th club & 13th country!). Ex A-League player Steven Lustica is also at that club.

Ex-Weenix midfielder Eugenio Pizzuto is now captain of the Mexico U-17 national team, scored in both of their 2-0 wins over Argentina and USA in October. He's hot property in the youth academy of Liga MX side Pachuca. Anyone have any idea how he got on at the Nix?

Bit late here, but man, I love Jacob Tratt. Hopeful he'll be back in Welly one day.

Sort of - ex academy, he's a player I have a feeling will go on to great things and we can sit back and say what could have been

He definitely earned a reputation while he was in NZ...shame he didn't count as a domestic player as I feel we would have signed him in that case.

Has anyone watched Ridenton play much this season, and if so how has he been playing? Newcastle is the one team in the league I haven't really been watching, so I'm curious as to whether he's been doing well. All I know is a few months back he missed an absolute sitter

I'd rather have Rufer

Comments on Ridenton's inclusion on matchdays aren't positive. Jets fans on Facebook seem to agree he's a passenger and must have photos of Ernie somewhere!

Same, but we could use the depth that keeping Ridenton would have provided.

Playing much better than last year IMO - doesn't give the ball away as much. But that's a really low bar.

Still anonymous - like playing with ten. As of last week, Sofascore rated him the second worst midfielder in the comp (of those who've played >100m), and the Jets' worst outfielder. Core competencies: pointing at my feet; pointing at other players; making sure stuff isn't my fault; jockeying; marking space; back-passes; manager management.

So far this season:

Ridenton started 8 times: Jets got 2 points

Ridenton didn't start 8 times: Jets got 13 points

Would have been interesting to see if Rudan could have improved Ridentons game the same as he has done for Rufer.

Any wonder some of Kiwi boys dont want to play with us given the lack of support some of them are given.

Was Louie Fenton ready for his "second coming" before Rudan's arrival at the Nix, or was it all Rudan?

I genuinely did not expect to see Louie play with this much confidence after the horrors he endured couple of years ago.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

He probably wasn't expecting to be playing so much but if my memory serves me right when he was released 2 years ago there was already an understanding that we'd have him back after he played in the aussie state leagues for a season.

I see Scott Galloway is quite high in the Johnny Warren Medal rankings, which is quite a surprise. I wonder how he would've turned out under Rudan....

A-Rod has broken into the first team at Motherwell, has started the last 5 games, and they've won all 5.

Did Galloway 'trial' under Rudan who then decided not to offer him a contract? He's been decent this year when I've watched him play but I'd much rather have Fenton (who is also playing well) get game time.

No. Adelaide was the only team he trialed with.

I was certain Rudan essentially made all players "trial" with him to show their desire?  May have been that Galloway pissed off before then because he wasn't up to it.

Only off contract player that turned up to trial was Rufer.

and look what he has achieved......goes to show that if you're prepared to put in the work and you're good enough to back it up the gaffer will back you.

Very worried that he won't resign and will look for a career in Europe, that little Swiss passport will get him far. You'd think he's a shoe-in for the AWs now, been very impressed with him as has every Nix fan

Lots of discussion about players recently going to Europe too early when theyve only had one good season - Hopefully Rufer listens to this (and Singh and Libby) and stays to learn their craft and become more complete.
