Does this mean our chants have to be in the form of the soul genre

Would have thought the Carnival stand would be more fitting.

Educated guess here but I'd say it's the stand they gave to the match day sponsor.

I've heard that the organisers of the Hutt game have been getting pressure to support a YF private bar. Turns out they have no say in the matter & NZ Police/licensing part of the council are the ones with the objection to it.

That's so elitist of us!

BTW who are the organiser? Council? Phoenix?

Council are the organisers working closely with the Phoenix. They are ambivalent to a YF bar.

ambivalent....lovely turn of phrase. Lets make sure we drink responsibly (hip flask/injected oranges).....

You know what it's actually going to be nice that the tickets are sought after for once. The severely limited supply is going to mean that for a limited period at least people will actually have to commit to coming rather than just "waiting to see if it's a nice day", or "hoping someone might have a free one for them" - a fact that is likely to increase sales and increase that effect.

Sell out games and good atmosphere here we come!

Hey so I don't know if this has been covered already this thread but are Welnix making any money out of this? Tickets are pretty cheap and there aren't heaps of them.

Would be nice if they were making a bit of profit out of it, I'd like the club to do well financially as well as on the pitch.

You'd imagine that they are keeping tickets for all season pass holders. The email only went out five days ago and not everyone would have responded yet. I only responded yesterday as it was in my spam folder.

Permalink Permalink

yeah it's an interesting way of doing it. Leaves the season ticket holders fairly anxious and hoping that the club don't screw it up or lose their email!

They are holding 4k seats for season pass holders/club members until 12 Jan and then unclaimed seats go on sale.

So if you have emailed them it should be OK.

Makes sense. Ever known 4,000 tickets fly out the door to the general public in a couple of days and two months before the game?

Actually it's more interesting than that. I responded by email because I was waiting for the other people on my family pass to decide how many extra tickets they wanted. The email said we had until January 12th to arrange our tickets. I wonder how it was going to work if I had waited until Janury 6th and then responded if the public had responded in big numbers...?
