Depends on final confirmed time and weather.

17:00 on a fine day ?  20k plus.

19:30 on a wet one ?  Unlikely.

when will this happen?

no diff to me but would be good to know

and yep for crowd numbers (travelling fans and younger school kids) 17.00 would be the winner

As I semi work at the stadium I get the text telling me when the games are and asking if I want to work, now according to the text I just got, kick off on sunday is 5 30pm. This could be incorrect but thats the time they are telling their workers it kicks off.

For the earlier time I guess. Which will mean it is 3 pm over there and I dont think that is great for ratings

The Fox TV schedule has it as 5.00pm - 8.00pm Aussie time.

Fox and Ticketec think kick-off is 7.30pm so News you are probably right - the club is arguing with the FFA for an earlier start.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

I'd prefer 5, cause it would definitely benefit the crowd size.

5pm is definitely the preference, more time for celebratory beers afterwards with it being a school night and all.

Tony P was interviewed by Murray Deaker and I'm sure I heard Tony say 5pm.

That will be good for friends travelling down from Palmy and bringing the kids. Amazed they are still friends after my comments about how crap Palmy is .... the only "home" game we lost this year. Keep the Wellington Phoenix in Wellington!

God it's expensive to fly at short notice.

I decided 2 days ago I wouldn't be able to afford to go to the RoF (from Dunedin) for the semi, but I'm having lots and lots of second thoughts....

Bear with me please while I ask some really newbie questions. I'm sure I could search for the answers but the threads are pretty long now so I'm hoping someone will just help me out :)

1. What is the structure of the finals series? Is this game a one-off or home and away? It is knockout right? And what lies ahead for the 'Nix if they win - will any other home games be on the cards?

2. How hard will tickets be for me to get? Bear in mind that my mind hasn't been made up yet so it might be a late decision. Is the game likely to sell out? I'd like to join my brethren in the Zone please.

3. Should I do it? Stupid question I guess... For those interested it is currently looking like $199 each way...ahmad2010-02-14 23:07:06

1. Really we're in the 1/8 Finals, but in a bit of marketing the A-League have decided pretty much all playoff games that are not the final are a semi final.
Structure:
3 v 6 - one leg, loser out winner through to QF.
4 v 5 - one leg, loser out winner through to QF.

1 v 2 - two legs, winner in Final, loser goes to SF.

QF - winner of 3/6 v winner 4/5 - one leg at home of highest ranked, loser out winner goes to SF.

SF - Loser 1/3 v winner of QF - one leg, loser out, winner goes to Final.

Final - winner of 1/2 v winner of SF - one leg.

2. Doubt we'll sell 34500, so you should get in at any time. Fever Zone might sell out in two days though.

3. It's your money!

Am trying to justify this... Nov 14 was supposed to be the only time I did such things. Geez Wellington. I wish you didn't have this effect on me. Maybe I should move there. Might work out cheaper.

Re: SF above - played at the home of [loser 1v2] right? And grand final played at home of [winner 1v2]?

Although in Dunedin's favour you will be getting the 7s in a couple of year's time

Can't get through on phone and internet site says Fever Zone sold out?

How come season ticket holders can't get at their own seats?

Edit: no ticket sales are working on line. Ticketek screwed up the website?

That's what they get for letting the FFA run the system.

I'll bet any money the zone will be a disaster with people demanding the seats they have bought and the heart of the zone split across the stadium.

Way to negate one home advantage FFA.

Right that was strange. I had originally gone in, selected tickets and noticed they were quite distant from our season ticket seats. No problem I thought, I'll quit and phone. After 10 minutes of not getting through on the phone, I logged back in to Ticketek and tried to buy tickets again. Got the "unavailable" error over and over. Decided to quit and try again, but accidentally clicked on "my basket" instead of logoff. The tickets I had originally selected 15 minutes previously were still in my basket - so I bought them. Perhaps the "unavailable" error was a reaction to me already having tickets in the basket - though as I have a family season ticket, I technically can buy a lot more than the family ticket I ordered. Hey ho.

It will be a shame not to be in standing behind the regular guys - might just go to our usual seats anyway.

Doesn't seem unreasonable to want to sit in a seat you have bought.  It is season ticket holders who are buying these seats today and presumably lots of people are buying extra for friends and family.  There was no problem with atmosphere at the All Whites game.  I think the Fever Zone are getting a little carried away with their own importance.
Ticketek are another matter entirely however............
