Think there is a Hert one.
Yup. Not on itunes though.
Had a listen to the official A-League podcast, makes me appreciate the Fever one even more.

Does any other supporters group do podcasts? Always interested in hearing other fans views on the league.
audio quality ain't great.
In summary - we are all levels of awesomeness.
Sounds very scripted. like they are reading it from a page. Does it get better? 5 mins in and had enough.

pretty sure YF poddy should be the official a league poddy.
just send them the first 5 mins of the latest one to see ho unbiased we could be lol
I am of the opinion that all referees in professional leagues should be professionals themselves. This means they could train, study and practice every day of the week - which would greatly improve the standard.
Exactly - they have professional referees in England, and they have no controversy there at all.
All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight
Having pro refs is all very well in principle but what are they going to do for the other 6 months of the year? Sit around watching Graham Poll blooper reels?

They can have a couple of months off and then start training again for pre-season and ref lower league games like NSW, VIC, ASB Prem etc..
Enjoyed that podcast. To throw in 2 cents again: THE FFA MATCH REVIEW PANEL IS INEPT!!
Completely ridiculous that they can paint themselves into a corner where they cannot deliver any justice in a variety of situations due to their completely pathetic regulations.
The MRP should have the powers necessary for restorative justice in the face of refereeing errors.
ALL DIVING INCIDENTS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. Irregardless of the presence of potential fowls or other issues present in any given incident. As well as any other incidents of severe player misconduct, including player assault, missed by the officials.
And finally any card should be able to reviewed. Why not? To prevent frivolous appeals? WHAT THE F#CK IS THE POINT OF A MATCH REVIEW PANEL THAT AVOIDS REVIEWING THINGS! Seriously this is their job. Have sanctions for frivolous appeals but hear every case. These decisions have an impact, not just on the game at hand but future games (with suspensions and so on). Referees sometimes make shocking decisions and the impact of those should not carry on to future games.
"Yellow Fever are fantastic – I have to say that"
What's the name of the official a-league one? I can't find it on iTunes

Episode 32 has the pod dissecting what went wrong on Monday night against Melbourne Victory, asking what are our chances this week at home to Central Coast, reviewing the rest of round 5, and previewing round 6 of the A-League. Kiwis overseas is the focus of the New Zealand football segment, while closer to home, the ASB Premiership kicked off last weekend.
Woot!!
In the zone = best.podcast.ever!!!

Will there be a new in the zone tonight or tomorrow to include the All Whites game?
Already out. Listening now.
I'm with Smithy, disagree with Newsboy about the passing quality (or lack of).
Our passing was awful and we reverted to old style of go wide, cross, lose ball.
repeat above.

Enjoyed this week, think you got to the heart of some of our failings. Fundamentally, Brockie is contributing very little in his role right now so something needs to change to get him into the game. The game is passing him by up front and I'm not sure his runs etc are good enough in that position.
Also, Smith and Muscat are trying to run the game from a deep position and neither have a good enough long passing game to play in that role. None of our front 4 is comfortable passing the ball in the final third which is why we end up launching everything from deep. So easy to defend against
Normo's coming home
Wow - you lot took a double dose of glass half empty pills this week. I'm no fan of egg ball but I'm seeing more benefit out of bringing the two Wgtn* sporting codes together and all you are doing are trying to find excuses why it isn't a good idea.
*yes I know what the Hurricanes are.

Minor correction re regional nature of Canes, previously the other Provinces in the franchise had a say and had representation on the board. Now they don't. This is now a completely Wellington owned Franchise, though I read James Te Puni saying they still see it as a regional franchise. The important distincition being that under the new ownership structure the other provinces have no say, where previously they did.

They may well have, but at the moment they haven't. Which is different to the previous situation.

But the franchise formerly known as Wellington Hurricanes (or Hurricances) is committed to taking games around it's catchment, just like the Nix take games to the greater Wgtn region (Eden Park, Forsyth Barr Stadium, AMI Park, Ring of Dirt).

On episode 35 of In The Zone, the Phoenix pinch a point in Perth and welcome Western Sydney Wanderers to Wellington this weekend. It’s a busy week for Kiwis in both the premiership and championship, with Chris Wood continuing his impressive scoring record. In ASB Premiership news, Team Wellington win, Declan Edge claims the sack race title, and the Auckland derby ends in a stalemate.
I think they missed the the line *his jaw is* as big as a house.
36 out now.

This week the pod plays with a man down and covers most of the action from round 9 of the A-league, including why noone witnessed Phoenix's 1-0 victory over Western Sydney. Internationally, Auckland City prepare for the Club World Cup, Tahiti's Confederation Cup opponents are known, and Kiwis continue to impress abroad. While locally, Waitakere sets the pace in the ASB Premiership.
Best Poddy ever..... can not quite put my finger on why though? Perhaps Smithy can help me figure out why? :)
I'm going to put my falling asleep twice during that one to pure tiredness.
I'm not sure you can justify that claim Scorp. I almost fell asleep recording it.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

It definitely had an aura about it (I too fell asleep - although listening in the wee small hours might be a factor).
