I got rained on in row Q! But for the Phoenix, I could get saturated and I wouldn't leave.

yes mate, i agree, no what it is, i didnt go yesterday coz im up in auckland and moving down this week to wellington but i gave my season ticket to my dad and he said he got drowned in row E. But in all fairness last season i was a season ticket holder at ibrox and i sat and got soaked many games but was worth it to see glasgow rangers!! and i suppose the weather is getting better, in terms of its nearly summer, so its not that bad. i just moved over here in June this year so as soon as i heard about the phoenix i was right into them, watched all the games so far on TV etc but I get job relocated down there so looking forward to the next home game, I will be there, come rain or shine!!!

Maybe a little bit lower than halfway, but right in the middle of the FZ.

The uncovered rows are labeled with double letters - AA, AB, AC etc and then the covered start at A, B, C etc.

thanks for that info peter, im glad to here its right in the middle of the FZ, really looking forward to that!!! im in aisle 22, row E. weather doesnt bother me mate, i just wanted to know if it was a covered section or not and im glad that its covered.

See the next home game against central coast, I hope we beat them, their manager Ian ferguson used to play with glasgow rangers, he was a midfielder and a really good one at that, he was part of the 9 in a row team, however I want the phoenix to really destroy them but its good to see an ex-ger in the game, another one is craig moore of queensland and tony vidmar of central coast, I have seen all 3 play for rangers at ibrox. Juniho used to play for celtic back in I think 2002 or 2003 and was getting paid 50,000 per week but he was a major flop with celtic and dissapeared to france then to sydney, so there are a few ex-SPL players in the game, oh Karl DODD of our own phoenix team used to play with Falkirk as well!!

We are in row C, definitely covered except in the horizontal rain, excellent seats so E will be fine!

Very annoyed at Ticketek, they seemed to have already sold our season tickets! Odd that, BUT we have got other tickets and we are closer to the Fever, looking forward to that.

We rang expecting to get our normal (season ticket) seats for the Beckham show - Only to be advised they had already been sold - so we ended up getting other seats - same row, but closer to the Fever zone

Tony made it clear that would happen and that Season ticket seats were not locked in.  Your season pass guarantees you a seat and first refusal on up to eight tickets, but it was first in first serve as to what seat.

If it turns out ticketek have sold our seats for Friday night, then there will be ructions.

How's my driving? - Whine here

yea hard news, i was lucky to get my seat this morning for the beckham game but if they sell our seats for the Friday game then you are correct there will be ructions.

i think its strange how everyone is getting different info from ticketek, its as if nobody has briefed them before the tix go on sale as to prices etc.

We all knew our season ticket seats were not necessarily the same seats we'd get for the Galaxy match. If season ticket holders are allowed to buy 8 tickets each, it's obvious it's going to be the case - especially in the Fever Zone.

For my part, I ended up getting different seats too. Hey ho. No big deal, I just asked to try along or back a bit. Ticketek were fine when I called and serviced me without error. (The only problem I have personally experience with Ticketek was when they sold me a ticket for a show on a night the show was not on and I did not find out until I turned up at the venue.... but that's a whole different story!)

Got my tickets, up in row G or Aisle 21

Apparently the only tickets they can allocate for the Adelaide game are round in aisle 30!! Bit of a pain for the extras that I picked up but we'll just have to see how that pans out on the Friday night.

Why I hate Ticketek today:

4.30pm: Rang Ticketek on 384 3840.  On hold for 10 minutes.

4:40pm: Spoke to operator, who asked for my Phoenix membership number, which I don't have, because I have yet to receive my season ticket.  She struggled to grasp this.

4:45pm: Understanding dawns and operator says: "sorry, without that number you can't make a booking, but you can ring the Phoenix and get it from them, their number is 384 2457, and they will be able to sell you the tickets."

4:50pm: Rang Phoenix.  They said: "Sure, we can look up your number, but we can't sell you tickets."

4:51pm: "But Ticketek were certain that you could?"

4:51pm: "Well, we can't, you'll have to ring them back" she said in a very 'this is the three hundredth time today I've had to say this' tone of voice.  Let's be fair love, it's not my fault they're useless, so don't give me sh*t!

4.52pm: Ring Ticketek back.  On hold.

4.57pm: Call dropped.

4.59pm: Ring back again.  On hold.

5:04pm: Still on hold.

FFS is it THAT hard!!!!!!

Can you imagine the type of sh*t we are going to have to put up with next season when we try and get the same seats as we have this year.Sure hope Tony P has kicked their butts and hammered into their collective thick skulls to get what is basically a simple job done properly.Yet another example of a company with a captive market treating their customers like sh*t.

Surely Tony P will drop them like a hot potato?

Or are they locked in because it's the Ring of Fire?

Can we find a Mayoral candidate prepared to build a proper-shaped football ground in the Capital?

Wellington rugby both use Ticketmaster. Ticketek might handle the Hurricanes as well, but both sites link to Ticketmaster. Hopefully next year they can add the Phoenix to that list.

as season ticket holders are we going to get first refusal to renew our seats before they go on public sale for next season and beyond?

Permalink Permalink
over 18 years ago · edited over 13 years ago

I would imagine so. I want to change my season ticket seats next season and get a different row. I bought on the first day they were available and had no idea what rows were what.

With regard to Galaxy tickets, Ticketek can't be blamed if anyone's normal seat is already sold. With members allowed to buy 8 seats each, that was always going to happen. If that is what is upsetting some people, they need to blame the Nix for giving us the benefit of buying extra tickets. Personally, I don't think it's a big deal.

The fiasco at the beginning of the season however was unexcusable. By the way, don't expect Ticketmaster to be much better. I use ticket agencies a lot (it's a theatre thing) and I've had as much trouble with them as Ticketek.

The St James Theatre Ticketek office is (04) 384 3840, you could call them internationally if Ticketek Australia can't help you. As for their number, it'll probably be listed.

I agree with SiNZ there, TonyP started this forum and outlined exactly how and where to buy tickets for the Galaxy game, gave the phone number, the locations of the ticketek offices in Wellington and clearly states that "you must produce your membership card or quote your membership number when buying tickets".
As far as I can see, the majority of people are posting complaining about not being able to get tickets cos they've not got their member number(the season membership number is on the Phoenix & Ticketek sites) or are looking for the phone number etc. All the things that Tony already explained.
Working with computers I know what a logistical nightmare trying to bunch the 2 games together would be and I'm not surprised there's some confusion, but if people are patient and read instructions properly then they'll have no problems getting their tickets. I had none! You can't complain about them insisting on you having your membership number either, otherwise any old Joe Soap could call up and say "I'm a Season Member, I want tickets to see David Beckham". There has to be some kind of policing of it to ensure we get our benefit of the pre-sale.

Ticketmaster by the way are even worse! At least ticketek are a NZ/Aussie based company, Ticketmaster are the McDonalds of the ticketing world. Went to a gig in Dublin when I was in Ireland last year and the ticket prices were 40euro each but Ticketmaster charged 6 euro per ticket for their "service fee". Buying 3 tickets cost me the equivalent of NZ$40 alone in service fees so I for one am happy enough to pay a one-off $8.50 here!!

Rant over.
