I was wondering what our goal difference was for both home and away over the seasons. An improvement for sure

Perth consolidate their performances with a solid win against GCU. Good tussle for 2nd, 3rd and 4th in next few weeks...starting next Saturday night with Bling v Glory. With Glory looking to leapfrog Nix to 2nd there'll be plenty to play for on Sunday!

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!

In many ways the Perth loss at home will be looked upon as a soul-searching wakeup call for the Nix which may have in part sparked the recent revival, but damn me the swing of 3 or 6 points from that match will prove extremely costly when examined as its own entity.

I don't think Perth are good enough. We only lost to them cause we were really poor on the day.We are past all that now.
Also, the conditions that day turned the result into a bit of  a lottery.  However, most games vs Perth tend to be close fought encounters and they do have a good defense.

This is going to be so so close.
Every round will be vital, there will be places exchanged every week. No points for the Nix next round could see us in 4th. Not sure we are quite top 2 material....CCM and a fully fit Roar are just a little bit better than everyone else IMO. But on our day we are better than everyone else. Would be happy with 3rd and the prospect of 2 home playoff games(which we would have to be confident of winning). 4th I would grudgingly take but it could mean only one home playoff game. 5th or 6th would be a real disappointment.

I guess the real measure of our play will be this weekend against the Raw. With Broich back they will be formidable....plus no Manny is a worry. But 3 points would put us in the box seat.

Perf play Sydney on Saturday in Sydney and ond over the last 5 games home and away have lost 3 and drawn two against The Bling. Sydney were Gobsh*te this weekend but with some luck could see them bouncing back and either earning a draw or hopefully 3 points. Jest and Heart in Noooocastle could also end in a draw based onn recent form of the two sides which would be fantastic for us, particularly if we manage to snare all three points or at worse a draw.

Remains really tight and with Adelaide playing No fans, they could also move back inrto finals contention.

The Tards play salty dogs so all going really well, they  could well end up in the disgusting position of second bottom by the end of the weekend.

I have to say at the moment, barring some collapse of form, I'd pick Perth to be overtaking someone, Probably the loser of our game this weekend. Perth for 3rd.
Its only wednesday and I'm already tense, must win home game with Brisbane in the fight for second place, exciting.

Cerainly will be a tough ride home, but one thing I am liking is that Away games are "back to back" so guessing we will stay on in Aussie for both of these rather than returning to NZ.

I suppose the reality is as we all know it is tighter as hell and virtually any team, is capable of beating any other side on theeir day, probably with the exception of No fans

Add up the current position of the teams you are due to play.  Thus CCM is 1st..therefore 1.  GCU is 10th therefore 10.

This is huge news in that they actually mentioned the Phoenix on CGW! Usually they only get a mention when they are playing in Auckland.

yeah and in their monday round of a game at  a time from the weekend, they only showed the Ifill fall in the penalty area, no mention of it being our 4th straight win or 3rd win away from home.

Andrew Mulligan told me that the reason they don't cover us is because they don't have a reported in Wellington, but I see that the chick (not Hayley, the other one) has been sent as their Welly correspondant, will have to see if this means more coverage.
