I suspect I'll have more than one striped one, and an away.  Need them for the complete set going back to v1 Kingz - 10th anniversary this year.

The Canterbury one, I hate that shirt. It was large when I got it but now I struggle to get it on, I guess it must have shrunk oveer the years

Who needs a "Phoenix Store" Ryo's have got the jump and deserve the Support.

I know the square footage rental in lampton quay and Terry would love it from his investments

damn right there, chucking a voucher into the season packs just to try and scrabble together some shirt sales smacks of desperation.

...if the difference between the return to the club on a sale was $15 from one and $60 from the other wouldn't you do what you could to try and win the business ?

Price and foot traffic / convenience.  Surely the two most important factors for most consumers - even of Phoenix gear?

RYOS is closest to my work place so I get to see what's on offer mostly there.  If I was in Cuba St/Manners Mall I would go over to the old Phoenix Shop .  SInce price was much of a muchness it would really come down to when I had the Coin and if my will power had evaporated ("sorry dear bake beans on toast again for a  week, but look at these great stripey scarves that I got").

Now that the new Phoenix Shop is within striking distance I'll be looking at both.  RYOS deserve kudos for being the first to stock the strip, but over the lifetime of the strip (hopefully more than two seasons) the first few weeks/month won't be significant in terms of sales.

Simple fact is that fans cannot get behind a club store that doesn't even exist.

I think you guys miss the point!
RYOS sell any teams shirts..they have no overiding loyalty to Wellington Phoenix.
The staff there are top notch,no question, but RYOS are retailers in business purely to make a profit for themselves, and good on them for that.

On the other hand, the Wellington Phoenix Shop, as and when its able to be opened, is a business making money for the  Phoenix. Wellington Phoenix deserves our support!
So what if we wait for a few weeks for new shirts?
In these economic times, those season ticket vouchers surely represent good value and WP should be congratulated, not derided.

I'd rather see every cent go to the Wellington Phoenix coffers and contribute to sustaining this club here in Wellington.

Personaly I'd prefer to buy mine from Champs rather than RYOS. The guys there have always been helpful getting Kingz/Knights gear. Go outta their way to help out with boots, will get in your size if they dont have them in stock. Also have helped out clubs with sponsorship where is RYOS just seemed to want to know about the football market once the Phoenix came to town. My personal choice choice will always be Champs

I totally agree. We should support the club by waiting until the Phoenix store is open before buying the new strip.

Champs is great and their customer service is what keeps it going, esp for keepers, however it is the Nix that should be higher on the support lines. Help the business you help the team. Anyway have we got a major shirt sponsor yet. I will hold off until then as the sponsor look affect the strip.

Just walked past the shop - still an empty shell - no sign of life.

If I end up getting a shirt i'll definately get one with number/name on the back if poss. Looks class and makes the black box a lot less noticable.

Are they generic numbers or can they do proper looking A-League numbers?

They did my shirt in season one with Coxey 7 on it and I'm stoked - close enough to official looking for my liking and reasonably priced too...

Top notch - go see Richie and the boys at Champs for numbers on shirts!!!

Pretty much identical - the absence of a tiny A-League logo at the bottom of each number the only difference. I've had BERTOS 7 and REGO 88 done on V4 home and away shirts, as well as a number of other shirts done all in the right fonts. It's a great service.

I have always had one worry with getting a player on the back of my shirt if they do something which pis*es everyone off you look like  a bit of an idiot walking round with their name on your back. Bertos is a safe player to get since hes the man but you would be furious if you had G** or Elrich on your shirt

Yeah I won't go for any new signings on the back until at least half way through the season.

I saw workers in the retail areas on the  ground floor of Phoenix Towers last week and cartons stored in some ground floor spaces... looks like Nix merchandise to me.
Can't be long now.
