I think NUFC is not too far off the mark...

We are a rubbish team when compared to top tier teams in Europe. However, for an A league team we are ok.

We just have to accept we are watching Accrington  Stanley (for example) and not one of the EPL teams. Get the right mind-set and we are good, go expecting rubbish and that is what you will see.   Enjoy it for what it is

Bertos dug us a hole with his disappearing act at right back - but did manage to get past someone once or twice in the second half. Pleased to see him off the park as Totori was much better value down that side.

Like to see if Lockhead could hit the crossbar deliberately three times in a hundred shots, the pre-match entertainment turned out to be more skillful than him.

LOL agree with the Lochhead point.
I thought Bertos did alright tonight tbh.

And most rationale, sensible people can accept that.

Imagine buying Christmas presents for some people on this forum. However good it is, they probably just respond "rubbish".

All the football fans that I know are rational and sensible.

Except the Woolwich ones (never met a Mackem).

And the Chavs, the Tards, and the other racist Cockneys.

Highly entertaining game, thats the best I can say really. Crowd went home happy.

Not a game for the purists.

Paston was really nowhere with that free kick. It was way too easy for them to score

Lochhead, well what can you say.

Sanchez was great.

Brockie got better and better.

What worried me most was with 10 min to go Siggy went down the right wing and centred for Durante to shoot. Total Football?

Top right corner - how could he have got to that?  Everyone dumps on Pasty but did you not think it was a pretty blimmin good free kick?

They were trying this sort of thing out during preseason, fenix. It looked so disorganised, and still does at times. But it's bloody entertaining at times too.

Few, if any, keepers could have saved that. I think people are more concerned that Paston didn't seem to try.

Probably enjoyed this out game best out of any game this season. First game where there's been decent weather, decent football and a decent result. Fever were in fine voice too. Top notch from all parties.

Just want to say, I totally picked it. Dolores can confirm this. Halftime I said: we're better than them. we've got this. Still spewing that Brockie scored while I was taking a piss. I don't want to take personal credit for this win, but, really, I'm taking personal credit for this win.

Much needed win for sure, crowd was starting to get very angsty and you know that its happening when sarcasm occurs. Anyways a wins a win, top 6 for now lets get the 2nd half of the season started.

One bit of advice I got in my stint as keeper was to always dive, not because you'll be able to get it (whether its just wide or a stunning freekick in the top corner), but so you don't give twats an excuse to criticise you.

While I would have liked to see us create more clear chances, we totally dominated them to pieces which was fantastic, and made a great comeback.

Sloppy from Durante giving away the first free-kick - was put away very well. Doubt many keepers could have saved that. Del Piero missed one from same position tonight! Durante probably unlucky with the own goal.

Great challenge by Lia for the first goal to take possession, and key was having lots of players running forward with pace - tidily put away by Fenton. I've seen penalty chances worse than that not given, but there was a push on Fenton who was in a fantastic position. That shot from Sanchez looked a cracker actually that luckily bounced to Brockie who finished well.

Good marks for everyone... except... Lochy was terrible, as we're coming to expect, and thought Muscat was poor.

Not only top right corner, but up and down over the wall.  Sometimes you just have to congratulate a well struck free kick.  As soon as he didn't dive I knew some people would be knocking him.  I have said it before, but it seems like some would be happy if he just flung himself at it even if he isn't going to get within metres of it.

Nope - I wore a slightly different combo than my usual:

Beanie (instead of Canteen bandana)

Stripey over Din at the Tin T (usually eyechart T)

2012/13 Season Scarf

I'm pretty sure this was quite crucial too.

You're right Junior82! Being a keeper... unless he knew if was coming from the right and bending a bit left up over the wall and into the top right corner (or his left) and then actually being there... there was nothing he could do!

Maybe give the post a solid kick too if it goes in, just to prove how upset you are? Doubles the chance of injury and therefore halves the chance of said twats questioning your commitment.

Also tired of the "Pasty should have done a spectacular fail-injury-dive into the corner even if he was never going to get it" crowd. It was an awesome free kick, give GoalGoal the credit he deserves.

Good win tonight. I think Heart will regret resting players.

Boyd played well and Brockie always a threat and proved a match winner.

Thought Totori added a bit of spark when he was introduced. Would like to see him start.

However i dont understand how the commentators say ''Lochead on the overlap''. It is not an overlap if you dont get past the ball carrier. I dont fault his effort but he just simply cant run anymore. Slow going foward and slow in transition. We would be much more dangerous with some pace in our full backs who attack with real purpose.

Sanchez has to get off set pieces, they were not acceptable. He did work hard in open play.

I have no problem with the other lad not getting on. Front 3 were playing well and seemed full of enery an no need to make changes.

Ok, back from the game and all of the nay sayers on here are talking through their ass in my opinion. Everyone had  great game, once we went 2 down we totally dominated them. I also thought Boyd was MOM with Leo next best. Once again, I enjoyed my visit and the team. I'm definitely re-signing with the glass half full club and  fools like NUFC & Bringbacksmtz can just bugger off and follow some other team as far as I'm concerned. Can't wait to read what Steve-O has to winge about.
