Rojas really needs to work on his passing

Brilliant opportunity there to cross to a player in the box

I think it's probably because most of his 'footballing education' was practicing tricks against his mates at lunch time

two(?) dodgy goals against us
manny and brown both pulled down in dangerous attacks without a foul/penalty
brown near miss
ifill near miss

plenty of fight from the lads

14 shots on target - 1 goal, simply not good enough, we had 17 balls in the penalty area at half time, bet it's doubled at the end.

Appalling effort from Greenacre there, just utter sh*te.

We also seem to wait on crosses rather than having people ATTACKING the cross. Not since Smeltz have I seen a Phoenix player score by attacking the near post and getting their head on it.

*edit* to make my point clearer

if the match is reviewed and it's an accidental handball leading to the goal then can't do much about that i.e an unsighted deflection etc

if its somebody blatantly cheating to gain an advantage they should be banned and the goal disallowed.

Could have and should have gotten something out of this.  But have been too retarded.

About 8 crosses and none have got past the first defender

He has a lot to work on but is a good prospect - is just like Kosta when he first played for us

You'll be doing well to convince me he has had a good game from here but please, be my guest. I need a laugh.
I believe the argument was about how effective he is when he's at his best. I never said he is playing well tonight. The lemon would have remembered that.

No you are completely right. You never lead with this. I must have imagined it.

End of.

You've still yet to argue against the points I've put up but its ok. I'm kinda done arguing the obvious with you.

Er no - if the hand is used to control the ball it should be a f**king foul

But his actions have already changed the course of the match and the best result we can hope for is a 2 - 1 loss.  Is that fair???

If a players hand is used to make his body "wider" its a free kick.

Despite common belief, there's no accident or purposeful about it.

all I can hear is Ifill calling for the ball - jade, jade, jade - jade turns and faces his own keeper - ah for f*** sake! If I was Ifill I would have asked to be trasferred to a team that can support him a bit.

The coach seriously needs to take the L-plates/hand brake off the team.  This long ball nonsense is killing us.  Its pathetic watching the team playing in fits and starts and playing constructive football with good passing.  Its when the strikers run a mile forward and they bomb it forward that we start playing outhouse football.

Good effort from Ifill, followed by another cross where nobody attacked it (other than the defender...).

Don't know what game you are watching

We've got about 20 balls into the box - most of them from behind the first defender - which should be enough to win 3 games let alone 1

I'm not dissing him - just saying. He has pretty obvious weaknesses and isn't ready to start yet. Maybe in a few weeks when he's fit.

We dominated large periods of the game ffs - we just lacked a final ball or finish. Ifill, Brown, Rojas could've all easily scored.

Yes but unless one of these crosses goes DIRECTLY to a Nix player, the move falls apart. The movement in the box from the strikers and supporting midfielders is just crap. If the cross doesn't land on a Phoenix players head directly in front of the goal, we just don't score!

Er no - Isn't that what he just said? Accidental handball isn't using the hand to control it. i.e. if it got blasted at him point blank and hit his hand, are you going to say he controlled it?
