Dewhurst: I reckon Gold Coast fancy themselves for the 3 points Fred, what do you reckon.

What Fred should have said: No Andrew, they turned up hoping to lose you f**king numpty.

Fred would never show that much colour.

Three for me, and two for them.

Probably a fair outcome because I don't think we were the better side.

Oh well, 29 games to go...

Was a lottery tonight and to be honest we were lucky to get away with the draw

We'll take it and move on - one big positive was Greenie tonight. Thought he was outstanding. Vinny Lia and Brown will have to step up for the next game though because I thought they were quite poor.

Once again, six goals at RoF against GCU. Shame we shared them this time.

still unbeaten at the ROF

Robbed!!! It was ours for the win but that last header goal by Culina was a kick in the gut for a bad day for the defence.

It was a fun game to watch however.

Still disappointing to let a 3-1 lead slip. Sure we were arguably outplayed over the 90 minutes, but the game was well and truly there to be won with that two-goal cushion.

Still, it's game one, and things should get better.

+1 especially Lia and Brown. I think the invisible man would have stood out more in the middle of the pitch for us..

Leo's mistake cost us in the end - handed the momentum back firmly to Gold Coast but can't pick at little errors like that one really as the whole team dropped off when we went 3-1 up. Is natural, really, and wasn't surprising.

Yeah, he wasn't up to the tempo of the game..Porter was destroying down his side.

I'm ok with that result and performance. Crap conditions but some pretty good football from both sides. 1st game for us and plenty to enthuse about. Some defensive problems but it must of been hard in those conditions. Glass is half full.

Think if the change was going to made it should've been done as soon as we went 3-1 up - never really got into the flow of the game but don't think the change was a bad one necessarily and didn't cost us the game.

Also, every other team except CCM drew their first up game so this result isn't so bad and remember we lost our first game against Newcastle last season and played pretty dismally.

Subs were critical again..2 fresh runners at defenders would have tipped it IMHO..although Daniel didnt get much of a look in..exhaustoin must have set in.  Or if it was a nite for tough guys then Pav should have been on bench and used.  Like assessing the wicket and leaving spinners out...

A real shame he blotted his copybook with that one because otherwise Leo was back to his best as far as attacking play goes. However a lot of other players were caught in possession or hit passes straight to their guys in dangerous positions and we got away with them, so I'm not going to blame him alone for the result.

Yeah, it's not all bad. We were certainly not the best team, but with 20 to go it was a game we should have won. Hell with 10 to go we should have won. Hopefully we don't have to play too many more games in a swimming pool. Onwards and upwards!

The weather made it a complete farce.....still a very entertaining game. Put this one down to first game of the season blues.....

I thought the lads looked a bit rusty.....especially the midfield. First game after all so they will be better for a high intensive game. Really last week against the u20's in the mud was not a great warmup. We now have our bye out of the way.

We will fix the defense and the midfield....the attack looks great and we will score lots of goals this season. Not sure what Troy did off season but he looks very ordinary so far......he will lose his place for sure if he does not sort himself out.
