Paston was great today and only had one mistake though I still rate Moss above him. The whole team was awesome, though. I don't think he was man of the match - McKain gets that honour for me.

And we're playing Adelaide not Perth. I really want us to wipe the memory of the last game against Adelaide which imo was our most disappointing of the season.

I missed the game last night from eing at work until 11, and I have to go back in for 8 today, but being able to find this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3u1JzJRC6E) almost makes that worth while. Almost.

Melbourne victory? More like Melbourne loose.

Have to say though, from that news clip it sounds as though we won against the run of play. Not the impression I get from ths forum or from my sister's match report. Both our goals >>>>>their goal.

Having read your commentary on the game (now that Xtra is working again) Its clear to me you have no idea what goes on in a game of football Valeo because you were certainly watching the wrong game.

Gutted I could only listen to this one on the radio especially after being in the zone for Newcastle. The noise from the fever boys was coming through loud and clear in that final 20 minutes. Though Piney was going bezerk which made it a thrilling experience for the listeners.

Really glad to see more of fred last night. he played really well and seems to be fitting in perfectly.

though i might be a tad biased i'd say that after about the 25 min mark we gradually took control, they scored early in our dominant period, and after that we were moving the ball around better than them (except for a bit following our 2nd - when ferrante seemed to drop bit too deep and hernandez seemed to offer them a bit of creativity; and the last 5-10 mins before injury time when they were getting desperate and pinged the ball round fairly quickly)

Last night we came of age - that was a complete and simply outstanding performance.

Quite simply the best Phoenix performance ever.
 
All players were exceptional.Great shape and commitment.
 
If we had finished one or two other chances, then it would have been perfect.

man, what a memorable night! the lads played so well, all of them and we all (finally) gave 100% in the Fever Zone. Sure, we did pretty good vs Newcastle too, but yesterday it was special.

And I reckon people like Ney Fabiano and Thompson really suffered from that. Did you see how many times Thompson just f**ked up?!

Now, the ref is a git. Smeltz was booked unfairly as he didn't take of his top. And as for Mc Kain, that was a silly yellow too..

i'll post more on the game in the MoM thread..

Not at all. It was anybody's game at half-time and they piled on some pressure on when we went 2 - 1 in front, but we coped with it well and we still had a few decent chances to get another goal. I thought we were the better side in the 2nd half and completely deserved the win. No question.
