He is doing the club no favours either JD. Very disheartening when all we hear is this sort of stuff, compared with the seemingly constant flow of good stories coming from most other clubs

That's because we're not protected by the FFA media Dutch Oven that doesn't let much escape from underneath it!

Also, the moment anything bad is reported in relation to one of our 'Strayan sister clubs then it is usually pushed aside by either an AFL or Rugby League player getting steaming drunk and urinating somewhere he shouldn't!

FFS we have an Egg ball world cup going on with numerous f**k ups occuring in Akld yet Terry and his never ending financial Woes occupies a quarter of the Front Page of the Dom, I would have thought that would be a fairly big distraction in NZ atm

*ahem*

Anyway, it's not "all we're hearing". We're also hearing about how we signed Dani Sanchez and Tony Warner, for example, how we drew with the Heart away, etc etc. It's just what sticks in the mind as important.

Dead right jeff it is very disheartening. I read the articles every day. I wish somebody and I dont care who but somebody whose in the play would come out and lay all the cards on the table about what is happening, in some cases that will mean a bit of egg on face, but for the sake of all the Nix fans and A league football in Wgton there needs to be clarity.

It is obviously holding up signings of players, it will be affecting the present playing and coaching staff and others.

I am sure that these threads are read by those in the know so I have one simple message :---

FRONT UP WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. I AS A SUPPORTER AND SEASON TICKET HOLDER DO HAVE A STAKE IN THIS. PLEASE LETS START TELLING THE TRUTH, [for some that may be difficult, but] LETS GET THIS SHOW BACK ON THE ROAD AND LETS KEEP IN WELLINGTON WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY OURS, WEVE MADE IT OURS AND THATS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.

IF THOSE WHO HAVE OR DONT THE MONEY START WALKING THE WALK AND GIVING US THE TALK, BUGGER YOUR DIFFERENCES. INNUENDO AINT DOING IT FOR ME AT PRESENT, INFACT ITS PEEING ME OFF.

SO TS, FFA, FAMOUS 5 START GETTING IT TOGETHER !!!!!!

Simply ask people in the street doloras what the impression they have of the nix at the moment and the answer will be something along the lines of "a club in disaray that is seemingly hurtling towards a path of destruction". It is these "people in the street" which give the nix Home crowds of 10k rather than the 4k home gates of the Phoenix Fanatics!

I disagree JD, it is a good article, and has given us valuable information, to the extent that they were able. Terry wont talk about his share transfer deal, so we dont know that side of it but it is fully confirmed that Dunajtschik received the option and believes he still has the ability to trade it, although maybe he is just stirring it up in saying that, no love lost between him and Terry with his quote there.

If the licence is held by the company, then it is possible that the control could be handed over in this way, but I'm not sure what FFA controls put on change of ownership when giving a licence out. I doubt if they would let just anyone take over a club.

Plus we know the identities now,  the "Phoenix Five but understood to number just four is led by Rob Morrison alongside his brother Lloyd Morrison, Sam Morgan and his father Gareth Morgan.

You not commenting on the the remarks about the club moving to another city? Or would that make your previous posts look a bit crap?

Well actually I didnt see anything in there that said it would, took the same view as Hard News above and also encouraged by the fact that those are Wellingtonians, and hardly likely to move it from their home

Hows your post looking now
ok so its not that you believe everything in the media - its just that you selectively read things

"He also refused to say whether FFA had been in negotiations with a consortium of Wellington businessmen keen to take over the club, but appeared to open the door for the club to eventually be based in another New Zealand city. "

Ho humm...

"Appeared to open the door to eventually.."  that door has always been open. I dont selectively read, but take a different meaning to you on this occassion and place different importance on some things also, so that phrasing doesnt have me panicking.

Can't help but think that Our Tel is increasingly coming to resemble hapless manager Mike Scott from the US version of "The Office":

Toby: Didn't you lose a lot of money on that other investment? The email?
Michael Scott: You know what Toby, when the son of the deposed king of Nigeria emails you directly, asking for help, you help! His father ran the freaking country! Ok?

Mmmm...Western Gulf Advisory?

Jim: How is this not a pyramid scheme?
Michael: Alright, let me explain. Again. [draws on board] Phil has recruited me and another guy. Now, we are getting three people each. The more people that get involved, the more who are investing, the more money we're all going to make. It's not a pyramid scheme, it is a... it's not even a scheme per se, it's... [Jim draws a triangle around Michael's diagram] ... I have to go make a call.

I feel sorry for Tel who always seemed a good bloke trying to put something back into the community through financing the Nix- but due to his financial misfortunes is now clearly floundering.
This quote from this morn's Dom Post article is pure Michael Scott:

Mr Serepisos refused to answer questions yesterday but instead tried to persuade The Dominion Post to stay silent on the issue.

"I'm telling you not to write a story because, if you do, you will end up with egg on your face. It's not a threat but don't write a story." Mr Serepisos, who has debts of over $200m, has consistently said that he would receive a US$100m loan from Bahrain-based Western Gulf Advisory even though he has been waiting for the funds since February.

Some people may be happy to hear that I have now come to terms that the Fantastic Four - the Morgans and the Morrisons - will own the Nix by Monday. Unless Terry is truly the Great Houdini coupled with Hannibal from the A-Team.
