Just been to the Olympic Marseille web site, OM Facebook, OMTV site, OM fan site, La Provencial (daily Marseille newspaper)........nothing about Tuiloma signing. They listed  signings up until yesterday........no mention of Tuiloma.

Bit sceptical about this one. Its now really tough for someone to sign into the EU without an EU passport unless you have played loads of internationals. So unless Tuiloma has European relatives it would be tough.

Tuiloma should be picked up by the Nix IMO. He is a great prospect.

OM would be awesome though if it had happened.....great club, fantastic support and regularly plays CL

JV didnt say he had signed with "Olympic Marseille".

He said it was "Marseilles"

Apparently Luke Adams, capt of 20s has been signed by the Phoenix. Good on him.

Ok. I'm not professing to be right or wrong on this because I never called it. (it's just aimed at TV because he talks bollocks). I'm just passing it on because I went and watched Birkenhead v Sports today and it turns out Tuiloma is back, playing and they announced it over the PA at the aftermatch in a packed club room with 100 pax.

You don't announce it over the PA in front of 100 pax if it's bollocks.

interesting.

A: he is a left footer. Those players are not easiest to find.
B: only seen him play LB but the u20 reports said he was a CB? If so he covers both spots. I had thought Musa would be worth a look in to be a CB/LB but this would rule him out I suspect as Adams does the same and Boxall would be next in line at CB.

Can't say I was impressed with Luke Adams. Our centre back pairing couldn't win anything in the air.

How many signed players do you guys have  ... we still have 4 players to sign with only 19 actually signed... read that you guys have only 15 signed players ..Welly must be crawling with players trying to get a trial...

Just on our squad

My starting team .... obvious 11 players...

----------------Pasfield---------------------
Morton---Sainsbury----Anderson----Rose
--------Caceras------Monty----------------
Mcglinch------Flores-------------Simon----
---------------Duke------------------------

Subs ..... 8 players

Wide Mids ... Fitzy
Def Mid ... Hutch
Att Mid / Striker ....Mcbreen
Striker ... Kassie
Backs ...Roux...Griffiths ... Neill
Wide Mid / Striker ..Sterj

Meaning we still have four places to fill one is obviously a back up keeper...the other ???? maybe the Dutch Defender ... Reports a way back suggested we close to  signing a 31 year old Dutch Defender [ Rogier Meijer] from the Dutch Div 1 ... I hope so ... My Concern if any is the age of the backs... have a look at their photos ,,, HHHHMmmmhttp://www.footballaustralia.com.au/centralcoastmariners/players

The irony of Luke Adams was that when he played LB for Waitakere, he looked good (Mili picked him) It almost looks like he has regressed (not that I saw him play u20s just going on what others have said)

With that LB/CB cover, and I guess Rowe being our only LB option to sign at present, we actually look a bit thin there with Hogg trialling in Scotland. Has Ernie overplayed this one? Even the Lochhead out band wagoners must wonder if we are actually in a better off situation now.

Depends on what figure Lochhead wanted on his wage slip. He might have priced himself out of the conversation for all we know.

PS: not a Lochhead hater, I would have kept him if he was willing to accept a non Terry-esque sized cheque.

The true test of Locheads ability is if he gets another gig at a reasonable level somewhere else.

very true on the wage front. He may well have priced himself out. Does not seem to have resurfaced yet

Ernie did say that they were going to have  real good look at the u20s and Greenacre was rumoured to be there scouting on his way to do some coach training in the UK. Its early days yet but it maybe they did not like what they saw or guys they might have wanted like Roux were already signed up. Still think there will be further announcements...and soon. Ernie will be working his butt off over this whole recruitment thing. He said he wanted to play stacks of preseason games but at the moment they are short of bodies to assemble much of a team. No need to worry at the moment but time is ticking on and other clubs are already playing warmup games. Ernie will have quite a few new faces at the Nix and he will need as much time as possible to get them trained up to play the style of game he wants.

Does anyone know much about this guy? This article from a couple of years back is all I can really find on him. http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/football/4782063/Bayern-Munich-junior-has-sights-on-All-Whites

Would be insane competition to get in that Bayern U19 team. Really interested to see how this guy goes.

I remember hearing he was a fast-attack minded right back. May be perfect for Ernie's new tactics.

I'm gunna have to question the integrity of this article:

"Kirkham and recently-departed Jets player and former A-League star Karl Dodd had no doubt he was cut out for the trans-Tasman league."

Surely someone is taking the mouse with that?!?!

It's a regional paper, anyone having played professionaly would be deemed a star.

I'm very interested to see which of these young guns impresses. Maybe the Pod should get some sort of insight?

Bloody excited about Traunmueller. Sounds decent. Hopefully he goes well and we can pick him up on his Kiwi passport.
