I seriously hope it isn't Milosevic or Turnbull.

Actually, that's not true, they had okay Centre-Backs it was the rest of the pitch that was pretty ugly.

Exactly what we want to hear. And at least greenacre's profile - that's great news. Perhaps that second player from England is a possibility. Awesome. Any striker is a good signing at the moment and at greenies calibre, we will have room for competition. I personally feel very assured from this comment.

Wonder who the keeper will be though? Can anyone find some quality keepers who used to play a-league?

So how good is Krishna? The only game I saw of him was against Adelaide in the WCC.  He was probably slightly above average but he was of course surrounded by mostly poor players in a game where they had barely any possession.

People say that he doesn't have that much pace - I think you kind of need that in the A-League if you aren't very big. We've already got Costa in that mould.

Ah, no.  He has plenty of pace, can control a ball and can score.  That's already one more thing than Archie can do.

Ok. Someone said the other guy we were looking at from the NZFC had more pace. Like I said, though, we've already got Costa. How different is Krishna?

They do have quite similar attributes - Krishna may be more of a capable Goalscorer.

Theoklitos would be good.  Played for the Kingz years ago, maybe he'd be keen to come back to New Zealand.

Langerack possibly - has A - League Experience but would be number 3 behind Theo and Mossy

I can't see them letting Langerak go... Theo is more likely as I think they expected him to be gone when they signed Moss.

Theoklitos is the best keeper in the comp IMO.

Would be a major coup for us if we got him, im sure he could do well in europe or abroad though.

It'll probably be Tommi Tomich or Robbie Bajic...i dont know whether that's a good thing or not.

Anyone know what Tom Willis (ex Qld Roar keeper) is up to these days?
I remember him being pretty capable, until he got put on the bench by Liam Reddy.

Agreed. The lad is quality. He can play out wide too, as a kind of wide striker...

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

More of the same that we have heard from Tony P, which isnt a bad thing. One thing to add is that we apparently have a list of players for our second striker, and that all of them aren't UK based.

Just saw this on BBC:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/bristol_city/8020135.stm

Looks like a player who'd fit a target man profile and, like Greenacre, is also on the lookout for a deal which is longer than a season. At 33 this may extend his career, though the trade-off would be the drop down from Championship money. What do you Bristol fans think of him, worth a punt?

I watched him play against QPR at Loftus a couple of months ago.  He's very big and very strong, bigger I'd say even than Dadi (although I haven't seen Dadi play in the flesh).  He's a handful for defences physically but not especially mobile or quick and didn't look like much of a goal threat, aside from set pieces, although held the ball up well and at times brought others into the play.  A bit of a Hesky type...

I rate him from what i've seen. They played quite a few Bristol City games here when Carle was in the team.

Tommich and Milosevic? Are we really that desperate? I'd bring 59yo Shilton out of retirement before I'd think of giving the above 2 plonkers a call.

Sounds kinda good to me but I would like a striker who is capable of scoring good goals. Wouldn't be a bad aquisition though

This is more good news. I'm glad to hear that we have a range of targets- hopefully management has already met some of these guys face to face or i'd hope that Ricki and Tony would meet them before they sign them as they did for Greenie because it seems like the best way to do it and Chris sounds like a real committed hardworking professional which is exactly what we want in our team

Possibly a little harsh

I would prefer not to take either of them but somethings better than nothing.

Theo would actually be a really great signing but I don't imagine he would come here. Surely he could find a deal in Sweden or Turkey maybe?

Yeah I heard that one too. Don't think he's quite there yet. Especially with Galekovic earning more respect on the International scene

I was being generous to Milosevic. He's an absolute shocker, couldn't catch a cold.

FC Twente Rated Ruka too

Yip but its gonna be hard to find a quick striker who is willing to come to NZ because its gonna be hard to find a young player willing to come over here when they still have a shot, and most sucessful 30 + year olds don't really use speed as their main form of attack anymore.

If we want youth or pace, we are going to have to look local
