I would be happy with Cassio. Although I'm not too keen on Cristiano, the diving cheat who is also over-rated

Cassio = great on attack and loves to create havoc on that left side.

Cristiano isn't bad either.
would prefer cassio but either would be a nice acquisition to the nix and would probably push straight to the starting team which is what we want in a new signing

Report in this mornings SMH that Nth queensland Fury are thinking of signing Luis Corrales from Team Wellington. Have the phoenix let this guy slip through their fingers or does he not rate?
According to the article he has scored 10 goals in 12 games for team Wellington. Hard to imagine Rickie and co have not already checked him out.

Also in the same article Hernandez is off to China next season.

You can't help feel that quite a few of the top A-League teams will be weaker because of key player loss next season. If the phoenix recruit well and get top players for those last three attacking slots then we could go very well next season

Ricki, Tony and Co. are at most team Wellington home matches.  They have definitely seen Luis.

Are you not in Wellington zinidane ?

Luis to the A-League was discussed about 8 pages back in this, and on the Team Wellington thread in NZFC football.

I think the phoenix have always had an eye on Corrales and also Krishna. Just keeping a look over  them and I think we would have signed them if we thought they were good enough.
Are either eligible to play as one of our youth players? I'm not too sure about their ages or how old the 3 players have to be??

Fury have signed Breen from Conference side York city. I remember he trialed for the Phoenix early this year. I saw one trial game he played.  EE....ORR....what a donkey!!!! Big Slow old fashioned centre forward with a poor touch. Fury must be desprite.
They are signing players like Breen and Corrales that the Phoenix passed over.

I thought I'd heard the name Breen before but not with the Phoenix surely.

Edit: Did a search. Whoops he did. So he wasn't right for us but is ok for the Furries?? Never saw him but I hope that one doesn't bite us in the bum. Anyone know what he was like in the trial last year?

I don't remember this McBreen AT ALL from Falkirk, so this is likely no big deal.

Terrible, so terrible, I seriously thought he may have been either A) A trialing goalkeeper having a run about in the outfield, or (B) One of the various coaching staff. Lol

don't think he would be signed in asia but well done if he does.
We do need him though - a solid proven defender. just up to him if he wants to risk being bench if he doesn't rise to the challenge
