last year  $10.00   -----   Kids [ under 16]  FREE ;......  they should  have let last years members in for free  as a" thank you" for the great support we have given them. Kids at $5.00 will reduce numbers .

What are peoples predictions regarding the crowd?

I'm think 7-9 thousand.

will depend a bit on the weather and any pre-match publicity

i wonder if the announcement of captain is being held until friday to get good sports media coverage (and game publicity)

can't remember last year's pre-season figures but seemed more say 6.5 k v sydney

According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_A-League_Pre-Season_Challenge_Cup) last season's pre-season games at the RoF averaged 5,000.

6,000 v Sydney
4,000 v Roar
5,200 v Jets

Doesn't say if free kids were included in attendance figures.

I'm guessing 7,000+ this Sunday if the weather's good.

I don't suppose we have any Jim Hickeys here who can give us a little report as to what to expect weather wise?

The roar game was at QEII though. So the Wgtn average was 5,600.chocnut2008-07-16 15:32:31

Newstalk ZB will have live coverage, and I think there'll be live coverage on the radio sport website.

There'll be a full live radio commentary on Newstalk ZB for those in Wellington.

For those outside Wellington, you can hear it on either the Newstalk ZB or Radio Sport websites. It won't be nationwide on Radio Sport because it clashes with the NRL.

The advert for the game in today's Dompost only mentioned tickets available at Phoenix Store. Tony P said there would be gate sales so I hope future adverts will mention this.

Yeah, noticed that as well. I guess most people will assume there will be gate sales but would certainly be a good idea to make that clear in all the promo material.

Given that all the Aus pre-season games are in smaller towns, we have a reasonable chance of getting the largest crowd of the pre-season.

I recall a mention of ticket booths being open from 12 noon at the stadium somewhere?

Heard the same - ticket booth opens at 12.00 noon.

The club shop is open 10.00am to 4.00pm on Sundays.

Pubs open all day

Nope no TV coverage of any of the pre season cup games, even in oz. Radio coverage in weelington thought and radio streamed over the net for out of towners

    SS2  NRL Roosters v Raiders
    SS3 Tour De France
    SS Highlights  Golf Highlights
    ESPN  Moto X World Champs

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I heard that Ahmad El**ch has stopped eating pies and is now feasting on small children.
    Surely that's reason enough.
