Jambo was about 6 rows behind me in a triblyesque hat.  Wearing a Phoenix City ska t-shirt.

Big ups to the Adelaide supporters for turning up in good numbers as well, shame the DJ's who gave the Fever a big rap at half time failed to acknowledge them.

The guys in Red in the bay next to the Fever ?

If it was, they were Canterbury Action Indoor Sports shirts, not Adelaide.

I'm blind, I'm deaf, I wanta be a ref (speaking of which I thought he was abysmal).

Thought I recognised a couple of them who I met in Wellington 2 years ago when we stayed in the same hotel as the Adelaide team? Couldn't make out the shirts from where I was sitting up top. They got the reaspberry from the fever on the right when they didn't participate in the first Mexican wave. thought that was because they were Adelaide supporters.

Great result nix regardless of how the result came. A certain holloway quote comes to mind ""To put it in gentleman's terms if you've been out for a night and you're looking for a young lady and you pull one, some weeks they're good looking and some weeks they're not the best. Our performance today would have been not the best looking bird but at least we got her in the taxi. She weren't the best looking lady we ended up taking home but she was very pleasant and very nice, so thanks very much, let's have a coffee" Went to the game good atmo, will be communicating to people for the next couple days via etch a sketch and txt as voice is as good as gone! Dead keen to head to welly to watch the nix again! Thanks for coming to chch phoneix and travelling fans!

Did I just hear about the Fever starting a f**king mexican wave?

If I did I'm going on a Newsesque rant about how f**king annoying those piece of sh*ts are. (His bone is with the Magic fingers at goal kicks thing)

Now that normal service has been resumed; we can still beat Gold Coast but if we both play scrappy matches it could end in  a draw, but Central Coast, definitely three points.
Then, home advantage for a home final.
But,yeah, no reason we can't absolutely nail the finals next week.

The thing that worries me the most is that we only had 3 Kiwis on the field to start.

Looked like it was the feverites on the right who started it, hard to tell. Surprised if it was.

If that is what worries you the most then it was a good night.

I'd be worried about 10k cantabs coming up here on 12 feb thinking they owned the nx and wearing red and black!

Not our best game. I think we just scraped by. Adelaide had us for a majority of the game.
Great turn out though

Shut down?
Amazes me how people expect to be able to get a Mexican wave going at a football match and watch the game at the same time, which is why it stopped. I  think it was all those people used to going to rugby matches who need to find somehting to do to relieve the boredom, trouble is they hardly get enough of a crowd going these days to make it possible.
I note that a Mexican wave is originally a football phenomenom circa mid "80's.

Well now, well done Phoenix boys for ending my week on a high with not only my first Phoenix game but also a win. On another note, f**k the people who organized seating. I purchased 'Yellow Fever' tickets three weeks ago and ended up walking into gate L, the f**king Tui stand.

I was having a hissy fit in front of the box with all the countdowns to Mexican waves. Relieved to hear it got no where.

The belly telly shots at the end made up for it though ;-)

From what i saw, the two worst teams dragging each other down. But do I care? Not much.

Why does that worry you?
The side was picked to win the game regardless of where they were born, fail to see which of the Kiwis would have improved anything.

Gate L was also access to the upper level. Security was poor, your ticket should have said Lower level and even if it didn't it wasn't to difficult to get in there. The Tui stand probably had the worst view.
