First of all a HUGE thank you to everyone who has put in behind the scenes efforts in support of this game. I'm often attributed to much of the work, but I wouldn't have been able to do it without being able to call upon (hassle?) Otagolad and a few others from time to time.
Thanks to everyone who came along to the Longroom tonight - it was more than I personally expected, and more than the venue had originally predicted too. Thanks for your support which goes a long way to being able to do it again in the future. Cheers to Clare and all the bar staff.
Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets from me in the Yellow Fever group - turned out to be a great way to concentrate 40+ of us within the Zone which was filled with a lot of casual fans. You guys were great. Awesome to meet you all and I saw many of you were still celebrating at Craft when I drove past at around 2am

A special mention to Patrick who came up with the orange signs idea and to I-i-iffy for refining the idea into a "2" with reversible "3". Could have backfired on us but there was nothing much to lose and I think it looked great on TV (or so I've been told?).
No thanks to Dewhurst who apparently said that the "2" signs represented "22" for the number of Ifill goals for the club....... Piney shows his class once again by researching on Yellow Fever forums. Needs a job at Sky really but I don't think they can afford to pay him what he's worth.
And of course thanks to the PHOENIX. I didn't dare believe this might happen but you guys were great tonight. Both on and off the field - as always. You hooked me in with the gracious and unhurried way that you've dealt with me as a fan, and I'm happy to repay that to you with my interest in your endeavours, as well as doing anything I can to promote the club to those in the Southern region.
Have a safe flight to Melbourne in the morning. I suspect I'll still be in bed when you leave. See you next Friday at the Ring of Fire!

Thats it, I need better friends.
