Pre-season 2013/2014 - vs Phoenix B - Ring of Fire - Sunday

Thread now needs to be renamed for the next match against Auckland City on Saturday. Should be another interesting match with a bit of feeling involved. And even more amongst the fans.

I'll be there with bells on - coming straight from a team-bonding for my Gaelic football side so probably pre-drunk. You know how those Irish ladies are.

Still have not got home from Vegas. Oh well road trip to Auckland  starts Friday night.

Vegas was good, but looking forward to the full Phoenix team for this game.

Might have to take in back-to-back Nix games I think, this one should be good as well, a bit more fire in it too I'd suggest

Think Phoenix will be switched on and get up for this and win by at least 2.

Still don't understand how ACFC fans consider us rivals, we aren't even in the same competition. I reckon most nix fans wouldn't give a shit about this game, me included. Its just another preseason game. 

Well, we'll all see if FOOTBALL VIOLENCE erupts at Kiwitea on Saturday. (It has never erupted with ACFC's other grrrrival because WUFC have no fans.)

Anyway, I am refusing to leave my shoe with any Knitting Circle member if he orders me to go get him a Bovril.

So, he may make an appearance.

Quite a strong Auckland City team named - so should be interesting to see the relative standard of each side.

Each side will be trying to prove something.

I'm predicting a 2-2 draw.

I predict if you don't take a stab proof vest to Kiwitea St. Some Nix fan is going to get stabbed with a knitting needle.

Having seen the ASBP site and the squad for both games, they are very strong. ACFC could quite easily field 2 national league teams and the 2nd one would finish in the top 3.

This season looks to be over before its started.

What happened to Joel Stevens? Havn't heard his name been mentioned plus he didn't travel to Rotorua and now not travelling to Auckland as well? Maybe Ernie doesn't think he is up to it physically yet. Technically I thought he had the goods.
