IT'S A FINE LINE, BOZ

Can someone explain that to me? I know he has been teeing off in the press but that line befuddles me

During Mark Bosnich' playing career, he had a cocaine addiction. He ended up getting sacked by Chelsea, and I believe another club too because of it.

I know that but that's pretty obscure. I take that as been more 'it's a fine line we are in the league or he is walking a fine line or he has said something that is agreeable/a fine line' and not really a reference to his drug taking.

BOZ'S WHITE LINE FEVER woulda been more pointed and has a double entendre

Not sure Watson just running away straight ahead is good at this stage..needed width.

What's our pass completion percentage in the opposition half? 1 or 2 % if we are generous

Can't think of a more boring game this year. Not good for our metrics.

I'd call it tense, without being effective

I'd call it sharkhouse until the final 6 minutes where we at least had some decent chances.

I was ok with Des and Greenie staying on but now I think I would like change just for the sake of it even if it's worse. And also no thanks to Ramon too.

Come on Vader, many great minds have some spent some time devoted to the banner, you just can't come up with a great line like that yourself and blow their efforts out of the water. Some dignity and class please

Heap of saves by Galekovic at the end there.

Permalink Permalink

I guess Galekovic saved the shots so Greenacre and Des won't be coaches.

That's how this works right?

Horrid game either way. We're going nowhere fast.

Well that was uninspiring. Can't wait for this mediocrity to be made permanent tomorrow!

I feel like we had a lot of shots on target.  Kinda feel like we should have won.

Exciting game, unfortunate result IMO.

Permalink Permalink

Nil all result against the worst team in the comp @ home only further emphasises Mark Boshnich's comments that Phoenix offer nothing to the league .. different year , same shark team, same result ..

Well, no real marker for Des and Greenie there.

Ref got back control of the game well, considering some of the temper out there, but should have booked Galeckovic!

No one put their foot on it and decided to be decisive. Last time around two great strikes from Henrique. Here almost Krishna, but we are in bad need of that player. It should be Kosta, Roly, Roy and Finkler who from time to time will just win us something with individual brilliance, but all bar Krishna have been missing and Watson is playing as well as he did intially.

So Obiwan Smeltzy then?

I wouldn't go that far but against the worst team in the comp at home, I expected a win and I think that's a reasonable expectation. If Rob was wanting results against Jets and Adelaide to confirm the coaches, that might just be a decent sized spanner in the works.

I don't see how these performances against the bottom teams justify change of coach, as I see very little change of approach, tactics, game strategy, personnel.

so your argument is because we are playing the same and not winning, we should keep the coaches?

I may not have a position on this but that is an odd one.

To be fair Adelaide did park the bus a bit.

However we should have killed it off.

That was not worth staying up for with a raging hangover. Why people rate Doyle is beyond me. The whole team bar Krishna lacks a ruthless edge. Its like oh shark I have the ball. I better get rid of it asap. Starting to think Bosnich is right.. Can't see us lasting any longer than  a few more seasons unless something dramatically changes.

for crying out loud, were you lot oblivious to the conditions? Give them a break, getting your foot on the ball with that swirling wind and driving rain was a mammoth task

By change of coach  I meant Ernie. My argument is that based on what I've seen the last month green & ham are too similar to Ernie. We need a new broom with this cattle.

Admittedly I only watched the game in tv so cannot accurately gauge the effect of the weather on the game but I am hugely disappointed in that performance. We simply cannot do the basics of dribbling and passing well, even some of our throw ins went straight to the opposition. Actually think that game was one where Smeltz would have made a difference

down at pitch level the conditions were horrendous. Never seen the wind swirl as much and Ive been to every home game.

slight change in personnel and definitely a change in tactics and strategy - 433 now compared to 41212, more width and more direct to our wide attackers.

Na, they were singing it to the ground announcer who couldn't pronounce any player's names, including Roly's when he was subbed.

Can't they get someone who's watched a game or two?
