No first team players in the weenix team today vs Eastern Suburbs, so assume everyone (Kopa) is fit and the team selection just comes down to coaches preferences / player performances in training.

Kopa, Way & Elliot named to start for the WeeNix

Kopa using the weenix to get back to full fitness? if he doesnt get to play for the big nix by game 4 or 5 I'd not expect to see him at the club past January.

WeeNix currently 2-0 down at HT so I assume Kopy isn't exactly playing like Gilberto

4.10 odds for Nix is a bit rude. Put $25 on a multi on Nix to win, Suburbs to beat the WeeNix and City to beat CCM... potential return of $225 watch this space....

Looking forward to tomorrow! Firing up

Just as well it was only $25' :)

We will a win and climb to #1 Only the Ref and the assistant VAR can stop us.

All these draws have been brilliant for us, if we can scrape a win it'll be huge going into next week against the wanderers. The league looks like it's going to be the closest in years so far, all the teams are relatively strong so any points buffer we can get is vital. Fire Up!

I must say; watching other games - we really have nothing to fear. Sure, we'll probably get pumped one or two games this season (I think this game v Brissy may be a prime candidate for that - heat, poor record there), but that's just the nature of the league. I don't see any team right now who are far out ahead. Sydney, MV, City obviously have the most quality, but they don't consistently put it together yet.

Mandi's fitness was probably worse when he arrived. And he arrived in Wellington later.

didnt Kopa get injured though? Personally I think Mandi is miles ahead of Kopa in terms of skill level.

Would be nice to have the same defensive line for several games in a row - I feel like that hasn't happened in years.

Brisbane also unchanged from last week.

If we keep up the solid defensive efforts from last week and keep Taggart fairly quiet, I'm hopeful we'll get a win here.

Only the VAR can stop us now.

Love the optimism round these parts lately but the party pooper realist in me thinks we are going to have a lot of trouble containing this Roar lineup and I wouldn't be surprised if we are beaten by a clear couple of goals. A point would be a great result imo.

Be interesting to see how our back four copes with their very mobile attack. Also we will get a better look at Kurto and see if those slightly disturbing signs of flappiness were just first game nerves or something else.
