Wander along the waterfront to Te Papa and back (free), check out the merch at Ryos (not free), mini golf and arcade at Willis Lane (also not free), botanical gardens (free), capital E (if they are quite small)newzealandpower
Anything decent to do in town with kids after lunch? I'm used to the Rome derby when we literally started our travel 4-5 hours before kick off, so I'm not risking being left on the station due to a full train at 4pm...but I need something exciting for them to do

Just had a nose in Ryos, pumping, 4 families in there, each 4 people and all of them buying or trying on shirts... (Yellow ones I should hasten to add)

Thanks gang. We live in Wellington and have done most of these things already.... I was hoping for some new event or similar..maybe we'll try the Wellington Museum later on. So far, the kids are on screens and I'm reading my boom, so let's enjoy the calm before the storm

If they havnt already seen it you could spend sometime at Te Papa there is a kids area there. Then if you want its about a 10 minute walk to the meeting point for the march.
My mate from Auckland (supporting the Nix) has just got a ticket with a PAX just south of 20K. He says he had to search hard to find a seat! Ended up in Aisle 9.
Looks like we are going to fall just short of 25k. We had better win because I'm sure we will be hearing a lot about them having better attendance, you just know that the December Mt Smart derby will sell out

Mt Smart's capacity is only 25k, expandable to 30k.

Dont panic would make their fall when it happens even sweeter. Because it will happen they havnt had travel or injuries yet. Dont panic Chief has this.
There will be 25k+ there today. Aisles 11-32 are fully sold out of regular tickets, aisles 6-10 are still going strong, and the box office will bring in a good amount of tickets considering the weather is decent. Also factor in season tickets, Maccas Junior Nix and Sky Stadium members who aren't added in the pax number.
On the train in, normal peak hour length and busy with yellow. Excellent! Glad to hear it’s hitting at least 21k! Getting those pre game butterflies now.
Just went for a walk in my local Auckland suburb. One AFC shirt on display and one Nix.
No other sporting teams on display
Depending on where you live Tongan flags count for other teams today with the big League match on as well. I'm rushing from a pub in Auckland to Mount Smart for it haha
