Avert your eyes. Wonder if he is a father yet?

Looks like Nix play the Wanderers tomorrow in a friendly in Sydney.
Also Mariners next Sunday 6th. Presumably there is a 3rd warmup midweek??

Yeah but are we talking about that many making the trip. Doubt it would be in the thousands travelling down. Just seems like members being shafted yet again. Just frustrating they want people to commit then let them down with this sort of stuff and the silence we are treated to about tickets in the away zone in Auckland from both clubs.

That's a little entitled don't you think? A membership gets you access to all home games at the stadium, at a cost that works out less than if you were buying individual tickets, anything else is a bonus a gift from the club and sponsors. In previous years the club has been able to afford to add free tickets to Auckland away games and other venues when utilised. This year we have seen the money all clubs receive heavily reduced thanks to the APL, moaning about how the club has let you down for the sake of one free ticket??????
Ballane's whole "style" is complaints that he's not getting what a foundation member is entitled to
Really explain again whats so wrong with expecting tickets for a home gane with your membership. Especually when in previous seasons you have got them.
Honestly Doloras your a great one to throw shark at how someone is posting. Find it amazing that some of you are happy to accept whatever the club does  Yes 'shafting'mave been to harsh.
But dont get the problem with quering the club over the years speaking to them they havnt had an issue with it.
As i said all going well i will be going dosnt mean they cant be questioned on it.

Expecting it for free is the entitled bit! You buy a membership and you get what you pay for, the freebies of yester-year are not gonna happen. We all got access to the Auckland games for free as a gift for the club. The season pass you pay for only covers the games in Wellington.
Perfect example of the same thing seen rwo different ways yet you chose to say mine is entitled
You say we got access to Auckland games because it was gifted to us by the club.
I say we got those passes because the club took home games away from home. Same as when they took them to Christchurch Napier and Palmerston North and gave members tickets.
Just dont see the problem with expecting the club to explain the difference.
Also just dont see the need for people to put a label on someone just because they dare to have a different view to the one you may have. Especially true in a forum where people are behind non de plumes.

you must admit that this does sound like a very 1st world problem... I mean, you're quibbling over like what $30? Seems like a lot of outrage over $30.

I understand that you might feel the club owes you all home games and thats fair I guess. But the club have considered the amount of home games in their membership deal and priced it up. I think a discount to the 1 home game not in Wellington is pretty fair and it'll all be priced into the overall membership.

I just hope the club are not losing too much money this season - thats all

Pretty sure the game is tomorrow

The Phoenix will play Western Sydney Wanderers in Sydney on Saturday, September 28 and reigning A-League champions Central Coast Mariners in Gosford on Sunday, October 6.

A random Twitter account with a Hitler profile pic is claiming 4-1 to us but I'm not putting any faith in that for obvious reasons.

Obvious reasons being when would we ever score 4 goals

Seeing 2-0 to Wanderers over on their forum.

Make of that what you will. Not my go to sources, and I can't verify otherwise. Have put a few feelers out though, so will see if I get any hits.

I am choosing to believe the 4-1 scoreline to us. Clearly the chief has put together a team which is going to dominate the league to a level not seen since Roarcelona.

I wish

Definitely 2-0. Both goals coming late on.

Just waiting to hear back on general play.

Hopefully it’s a case of making wholesale changes and academy boys being on. I could deal with that.

Yeah I've got three different people saying different things.

Two reckon 2-0 and another says 4-1 (no it's not the guy with a Hitler profile pic on Twitter either...) Don't know who to believe at the moment sorry. 😅

According to google the game is being played today... Surely the clubs can announce the scoreline on their social media accounts right after the game.

The Nix put out that it was to be played on the 28th, so I would trust them over Google. Google probably using the US date cuz no time was listed.

2-0 confirmed.

Apologies for the confusion everyone.

Do we have much of a sense of who did and didn't travel?

From the most casual of looks, it seems a little as if we may have been missing a handful of players even beyond those that turned out for the Reserves. Payne, Barbarouses, and Oluwayemi are examples that come to mind – though it could have just been the timing of Instagram uploads confusing matters.

There’s not been that much public football this preseason. Or at least it feels that way.

With a couple ACL games under their belt, it will be a very tough test for us today.

Lack of goals a real concern for me so far this preseason. Cant being doing alot for confidence levels for the players and assurances about tactics for the coaching staff. Hope that changes today.

Wouldnt be to worried about anything at the moment given the whole squad has really only just started training together. Also some have had a much lighter load to start the season due to just arriving or being away on rep duty. For me the worrying thing is that a number of players have to head off for Rep football and getting them back injury free.

CCM 1 VS NIX 0

(Source: CCM website)

Really can't judge because I haven't seen the pre season games but you'd think 2 weeks out from the season we'd be playing our strongest 11...

Some strike that

No goals in our three pre season games against A-League opposition is a little bit of a worry tbh. 😅
