Good one. keep up the heat on those pricks. Use to have sky but no longer wish to be ripped off with outrageous costs. Theres too many broadcasters on sky. Too many cheifs no indians. I stream it or go to the games. or pubs. cheaper then paying a months subs to SKY!!

ah, that's where it's a little bit more complicated.

rented accommodation can be a bit difficult.  You'd have to get permission from your landlord first.  The dish would be no larger than a standard Sky one, that'd be your main selling point.

Once you get permission, you'd need to find an installer to come do it.  I know of a couple in Wellington, other than that, maybe pop along to Geekzone.co.nz or have a look in your yellow pages.

There is a bit of ground work.  I did all of mine myself, but did a bit of reading first.

Victory/Fury game being replayed at 9am tomorrow morning when tonight there has been ITM Fishing, This given Sunday, and Red Bull Chornicles all in a row tonight on SS1.

Just had a quick look ahead to next weekend...the Phoenix game on Friday night is obviously live...the two Saturday night games are delayed until Sunday morning....the 7pm Sunday game (Heart v Glory) is live and is followed at 9pm by a replay of GCU v Victory which is actually a 5pm kickoff.

That's not too bad. Sunday lineup is good enough.

does anyone at sky actually think about which games involve NZers????? they could market the GCU games if they any initiative and why not mention the kosta and brockies etc in their matches.

FFS ITM Fishing is not sport! Things should get better when the league season is over. Sky should add another sports channel. Or their programming person needs a good kick up the a55

I got this random text from Sky at 7.50pm today:

"Don't miss Spartacus starring Lucy Lawless 9.30pm on the BOX SKY CH5. Viewer warning R18. This msg is free to receive."

Huh? I'd never received anything from them before. Did anyone else receive this? Anyway I was inclined to reply "show some f'n A League live".

I agree with Marius that certain games could be marketed to play up the New Zealand connection to appeal to those who perhaps don't follow the A League, but were swept up by the All Whites' success.

I got the same, im guessing they got my number from when I put it into their Virtual Rugby tipping comp.

That explains why I had mysky to record the delayed coverage and ended up with random tennis

The 7:15 game on Saturday with the Fury and Radelaide has:
SS1 - Live ITM Cup (acceptable)
SS2 - Live NRL (acceptable)
SS3 - Very end of Friday Night Boxing, The Ultimate Fighter, Red Bull Chronicles, and very start of Live Cricket.

I'm interested in your views (not just LF1) on the order they are showing Sunday's games. Ie, whether you'd rather see the games played
a) Late game Live followed by earlier game delayed by 4 hours (as is planned) OR
b) both delayed (by 2hrs), but played in the same order.

I think I would rather see them played in the same order as there is bound to be mention of the GCU-Victory result in the later game.

Not a criticism because they (Sky) probably have a Live comes first policy, and would probably get pilloried if they played them both delayed.

Thoughts?

Edit: I may actually even Mysky the Heart game and watch it after the GCU-Victory game, but that would take me through to 1am!Turfmoore2010-08-23 09:19:28

I know, I know, its serious!

Funny you mention it TM - I was thinking the same - would probably rather watch them in the order they were played.  However, I'm just happy both are on, on the day they are played - and one is even live!

Indeed. Why I didn't want to make a big deal about it. A couple of (potentially) cracking games those ones. May do the MySky thing.

Friday 10pm CCM Vs Heart -  Live SS3
Saturday 7:30pm Nix vs Sydney - Live SS3
Saturday 9:30pm Adelaide Vs Jets - Replayed Midnight SS1
Sunday  5:00pm Victory Vs Roar -  Live SS3
Sunday 7:00pm Perth Vs Gold Coast - Live SS3

Pretty good overall. istead of showing that Adelaide game Sky are showing on SS3 delayed coverage pf Formula 1 Practice, Red Bull Chronicles, and Red Bull X-fighter between 9:30 and 11:30.

Thats a shame about the Adelaide game though

But hard to be too unhappy about it with every other game being live. Or have I gone soft?

For some strange reason Jets v Glory Friday 10pm wouldn't lock to record on my Mysky.
 Wouldn't accept a reminder either.
All the others were fine when I booked them. ??

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!

Why do they keep doing this? It's like they can't quite bring themselves to just show all the games!
