It's a cat-astrophy!

No pod for a while and craved some Nix-related content, so I listened to the latest TWGOAT instead. Don't know whether to cry or laugh at the fact that I listened to 10 minutes of Guacamole chat (definitely doesn't count as a recipe by the way), and we're still more than two months away from Round 1. Either way, was a real highlight.

I hope that after Team Wellington go on to win the Club World Cup, the lads kick start another podcast reliving the events and call it TWGOAT, Team Wellington, Greatest of All Time

We have discussed it, but nothing concrete as yet.  If not this week then definitely next week

So we've done this before and it was a disaster.  Think we peaked at about 30 listeners for an alternate commentary.  Fair to say it's unlikely to happen "Live" again.  Maybe we record whilst watching and do an edited package, but that's a lot of work for Pat

I have listened to the new pod for a while after the first guys and have enjoyed both.

The below is constructive feedback so don't all get fired up!!

With hard news, 2nd best, el grap and smithy, it was very easy to figure out whom was who. Their voices are completely different. As a result they had their own identity 

For what ever reason the current four all sound very similar. 

On many occasions I am thinking is that Patrick spouting that rubbish when it may not be.

It makes it even more confusing if everyone agrees with each other

I don't know the answer to the issue but if there is a podcast 101 around fixing it, it may well be worth a listen

If I'm not listening intently I sometimes get cam and frosite mixed up. Yea not sure what they can do about it.
Patrick can always say "avocado jesus says" before he says something. Or he can turn everything he says into  a jingle.

Just finished good pod chaps time seemed to fly on it. Good to have football to talk aboutagain.

I have no problem with the voices. But one thing comes to mind is using the stereo space. One is sitting more on the left, another on the right and the third in the middle. This should be mixable, I guess....100% possible! Yellow Fever got an sound design OSCAR for Fury Road.

Someone needs to put a handkerchief over their mic to sound like a kidnapper demanding a ransom, another needs to use a Darth Vader voice modulator, Someone else needs to be constantly sucking on helium, and the last needs to be putting on an accent that is constantly changing from one to another.

These changes would really bring a new dimension to Phoenix City.

There's nothing wrong with the sound, it sounds better than most aleague pod casts

In short - I'm good at what I do, there are limitations on some things that might not be obvious from the outside, and I'm going to keep doing things the way I've done them for the previous 142 pods. 

Jeez...someone is on their high horse after the FMA judges specifically noted the high quality of the sound editing aren't they! ;)

It was constructive and I if you reread the above I didn't say that they needed to change their voices

I did however learn last night that none of the voices was  Patrick (only because he wasn't there). 

As I also said I dont know the answer but there may be possible solutions by leading into the next talker.

Part of the difference may be that often the previous lot used their usernames on this forum (2nd best etc) so it connected as you had an idea on their views and attitudes. Admiedtly Patrick is Patrick so in his case it doesn't help much

all a good listen but I think they might need a rogue contrinutor. Someone who isn’t like, ah they have been run into the ground and there is no way they could have played decent footy in FFA. Someone who says yeah they were shark etc

Your discussion on the use of the last visa spot... I am tending towards another quality defensive midfielder being number one, to me the midfield is the heart of a team and at the moment it seems to be our weakest area.
