For months I have been awaiting the return of the special one.

Only to not be able to decipher a single word he may have said

I smell sabotage

Jeez - I leave you unattended for just a couple of days and look what happens...

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

The latest episode of Phoenix City is out now at http://yellowfever.co.nz/podcasts and in your favourite podcast app!

The pod dissect the Phoenix's loss to CCM, and have all the talk you need on headbutts and elbows. Meanwhile, the ASB Prem is back from it's Christmas break this weekend, and we take some time to answer some listener questions.

That mic quality though was superb.

Offences that are worse than head-butts: 1. Stomping on a player's head while that player lies injured on the ground 2. A flying air-bourne two footed studs up karate kick to the face But yes, head-butts are bad

I think head butts are atrocious but I think biting is way worse.

Oh and great pod chaps.  sound quality was a huge step up from last week.

Shocked at the lack of Nix tinted glasses when predicting scores.

What if missing that many players creates the perfect storm and some unlikely partnerships result in some fantastic defence work and even better goals.

I'm predicting 47-1.  The 1 is a consolation goal when moss goes off 20 seconds early because fudge it.

I would have thought spitting at someone is worse than a headbutt. At least people that heabutt have some balls. Those that spit are weak cowards.

Yeh but if you spit at them, they might head butt you...

It's been a strange old week, with us celebrating a 0-0 draw like a win, and Anthony Hudson coming out and labelling NZ footballers as "soft". The WeeNix went down to a late and controversial goal, and the Fever have cheap beers and free sausages for you at the TeeDubs game this weekend.

On the next podcast, could we have the panel discuss:

Who is the worst import striker - Piovacarri (WSW) or Sarpong (Nix)?

So don't talk about the game. Talk about everything but the game. Talk about the licence, the ASB premiership, Kiwi abroad, the NT coach, the NZF CEO, the Big Bash League, Bevan's fudgeing cat. But whatever you talk about, DON'T MENTION THE GAME.

we are missing Fenton? wtf, he doesn't add anything. Not the best defender, doesn't take people on any more. He hasn't had the confidence to beat a man this season. He cuts back and passes backwards almost every time. I can't see our fortunes improving with him in the team.

I think the issues with our squad are that we have too many of the same type of player.

With the OFC, why wouldn't you play some of the Champions League in Hamilton? No issues with the stadium pitch down here, transport costs would be low. And then another market is engaged.

Also, taking it away from Wellington, takes it away from the part of NZ which best supports football. No one will turn up to QBE. Opportunity lost for OFC

and despite the shark from last weekend, you boys still managed a good pod. congrats.

So, the Phoenix lost again.

Meanwhile, the Football Ferns are off to the Olympics and the girls U17's are off to their World Cup too, and the TeeDubs steal a last gasp point.
