I would temper the Galloway love and the Ridenton hate.

Ridenton covered Galloway's arse 3-4 times in the first half alone after Galloway marauded forward and ran down a blind alley.

An excellent podcast lads.

From me - Panama vs Costa Rica and ‘that goal’. Watch white 15.... the goal may not have been scored but there is a yellow card penalty there.

Ah yes I agree - goal would have likely been scored if the Panama player hadn't been tripped. Forgot to mention that.

It's time for another edition of Phoenix City!

The pod is hosted out at David Farrington Park by Team Wellington this week - and head coach José Figuera joins us to discuss the 3-1 win over Auckland City and everything else to do with the Handa Premiership.

Meanwhile, the Nix had a promising loss against Sydney FC and head to Melbourne this weekend, and tickets for the Peru game are flying out the door.

Just in time for your Friday evening commute - the latest episode of #PhoenixCity is here! http://yellowfever.co.nz/podcast

The Nix have come off a 1-0 loss where they should really have claimed a share of the points, we look ahead to the Roar game and wonder if everything will click this time around. Meanwhile, Hudson continues to baffle, with rumours that Brockie and Fallon are going to be called into the Peru squad, and we wrap up the latest rounds of the Handy Prem and the NWL.

"Ross McCormack, the English guy...."! Sigh.

Why is Hudson selecting players for Peru? Do Peru even want Brocks and Fallon? Shouldn't he be selecting players to play against Peru?

So many questions.

This is very true. I no longer talk football with Patrick outside of the pod for fear of hearing my own opinions told back to me on air ;)

We were brilliant for 20 minutes, then we were sharkte, we could blame the cheating roar players, the ref and anything else but we were 3-0 up after 20 mins and should have closed it out, our change ion tactics after half time wasn't good

Keegan Smith gave us some entertainment when he blew a kiss a Maccarone when they got the pen, It obviously got to Maccarone as he went on about it after the game but good on the kid for having the balls to do it

If this was wrong blame Patrick cause apparently #itwasnthim but I think I've saved you an hour (or 50 minutes if you want to listen to Kiwis overseas :-P)

mate, you never skip the Kiwi's overseas. How else will we know about that brand new 14 year old Hungarian 3rd division winger that Anthony Hudson will inexplicably select for the Peru game instead of Tyler Boyd

New pod. http://yellowfever.co.nz/podcasts.

The Nix blew a 3-0 lead against the Roar and were lucky to not lose the match in the end, we look at what went right and what went wrong. More details about the NZ squad for the Peru match have leaked out - we mention them and look at the action from the Handy Prem, including an entertaining Wellington derby.

Good pod team. I thought the summation of the nix-roar game was really good especially with daves cards thoughts.

I enjoyed your comments re Tom Doyle, now an essential player for us. Thanks for telling us about the Peru ticketing thing, was unaware.

Enjoyed the pod as always, you guys are all very supportive of Keegan Smith, I wonder if he was playing for another team if you'd feel the same...

You can be supportive while being critical though, they aren't mutually exclusive.

For example: Toto was horseshark. I wish he'd done well for the Nix though.

Missed the point Patrick, the gentleman asked if you guys would support Keegan if he was from another team, agree with your point that you can be critical if you wish but surely support is a bit of a given.

He's impressed plenty of the usually anti-nix pundits. But if a young kiwi keeper was starting for a rival A-League team no doubt we'd all support him for the games that he wasn't playing against us.

Hey - don't get me wrong Keegan is my mate and I am so proud of him - however I know people will think I'm just supporting him because I know him - so I have been very circumspect about his performances so far, some have given him a wide berth, some a very narrow one.  I think while the coach trusts him thats great and he is still learning and has made some mistakes but I can see he is working very hard to get up to speed as quickly as he can.
