Great pod, particularly now I know that I don't have to make a duck the size of Des.

The Phoenix managed to put in an excellent display against the Roar with a bunch of first-teamers missing. José Figueira joins the pod yet again to talk about Team Wellington's 1-0 semifinal win over Canterbury and the prospect of yet another grand final against Auckland City, as well as his other job as All Whites assistant coach.

Paul Temple and Steve Coleman from the Wellington Phoenix join the pod this week to talk about the match against Adelaide, their roles within the restructured Phoenix coaching setup, what it's like to be promoted within the Nix coaching structure almost instantly, and their respective Central League coaching jobs.

Dude, sort out your whitespace...

Put it in the middle or someplace (give people a break), not all at the end.

Mentions whitespace, automatically looks at Patrick's post to see how he laid it out typographically.

To be fair, I saw yomcat's humour shining through loud and clear in his post :)

Another good pod guys. Listening to Paul & Steve, I had a couple of (not necessarily coherent/consistent) thoughts re the Phoenix coaching situation.

First, you've got Coleman, Temple, Greenie bringing the academy kids through, playing a certain way, that isn't necessarily the way the head coach coach wants to play. Could part of the improvement in performance in recent weeks be down to the WeeNix getting a go, & being told to play the same way as they did in reserves? (y'know, alignment). It's probably too much of a punt given the Nix's overall situation, but would it be worth the club seeking dispensation for Greenacre for next season?

Secondly, there was talk of Jose's success at TeeDubs. Given Ramon's ruled out, what certificates does Jose have, & is he worth a look for/interested in the Nix?

Also, it's back to work for me tomorrow, and there's no Phoenix City or TWGOAT pods up.

Please, don't make me catch the 10:14 full of Hurricanes fans without a pod.

I have an episode of each in the can that I haven't had a chance to edit yet. Hopefully I'll have at least one of them up tomorrow.

All good. I've downloaded some uni lectures I need to catch up on instead. :)

That was pretty disapointing information about fitness under the last regime, I always thought the fitness coach seemed pretty on to it based on his twitter feed, shows what I know.

Will the next pod be the last one for the season or will you guy keep going into the finals?.

We will keep going, but not as regularly.  Likely stop after the finals until the World Cup and then take a break until there is news to talk about.  So irregularly

FYI team - both Phoenix City and TWGOAT are now available on Spotify - so for anyone that's more convenient for get it in your ears.

This week can we over the top compliment tbe massive 2,500. Crowd tbat sat there in silence? I know someone whom would appreciate that.  Meanwhile a dozen YF tbat made the effort to get there, made an atmosphere should not get a mention as they might be seeking self recognition.  The same person would also appreciate that . You can tell I am pissed at that person from far away.

Well done from me to my fellow Travellers.

New pod!

The podcast is joined by Des Buckingham, NZF U20's head coach and All Whites assistant coach this week to chat about what he's been up to since leaving the Phoenix, his new roles at NZF and what they entail. Meanwhile, the Phoenix avoided the spoon thanks to some Sarpreet magic at QBE and an Ernie special.

If we're still around next season, a stall on the walkway selling yellow jandals to the throng of feverites ready to do the slap might actually do really well.

Good pod guys (except for Pats breathing on the mic during the kiwis overseas section). Des was very good for a chat. Glad to have him back in the NZ football circles.

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.
