We deserved the win I think. Pedantic reffing but Lia deserved to go for his stupidity.

Thank christ for that. Worst cameo ever that one from Macallister!

Winning ugly - because if you can't almost throw away three points, you're having it too easy

Phoenix did all they could to balls that up but still came out winning so can't complain for a win is a win is a win

Congratulations to the 7200 who paid good money to go and watch. Not good footy but the excitement of the last 20 when we were down to 10 was captivating enough. Maybe that was Lia's idea when he obviously deliberately got himself sent off.

Could be the answer to Terry's financial woes. Sell all the footballs, players obviously don't need them.

Now to fix our away record

3 wins and a draw for us at home
3 wins and a draw for our opponents at their home ground

O'Leary was poor today, Ufuk should've been sent off in the first. I wonder if he will be punished after. Looked like a blatant elbow to the head.

WTF was with the camera work? My eyes  are fair  stinging from trying to make out who the fook was playing on the far side of the pitch. BlattersBalls2010-09-24 21:51:43

ok guys, just got back from the game. I was too busy screaming my head off and I couldn't see a couple of things. Here are some questions. Hopefully people who watched the game on the telly/had a better view than me could answer.

1) did Talay blind-side Greenie?
2) What's up with imbeciles throwing bottles? I think I saw 2, 3 people doing that.
3) How many times in the second half were we actually off-side? I think in a couple of occasion either Greenacre or Bertos would have to defy the laws of physics (and religion) to be off side, by being in two places [in front, behind their marker] at the same time.
4) Why did all these kids leave at some point and moved to an aisle to the left of the YF?

You're the only person moaning so why don't you f**k off. Everyone else here hasn't a problem.
There were 7,200 at the stadium that had a problem with the referee
very inconsistent refereeing, very one sided was how it looked live
particularly in the tackle, just seemed they were getting away with tackles that we weren't
offsides, looked like greenacre spent the day in an offside position and never managed to get back on side before the ball to him, pretty damn frustrating to watch

needed the three points tho and got them
first half seemed pretty decent

Agree with most. Shocking game, but 3 points.
People bagging thr GC mid week. they were twice as good.
Play poorly 3 points, better than pkaying well 0 points.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Love it how the yf did not join in with the mexican wave. Shows a strong football culture, rugby fans would be all over that mexican wave..

I love being right.. I love winning money too.

In those conditions it was always going to be an ugly game - despite our best efforts to throw away another 2 points to the Fury it's great we banked the result.

Angst moment - I'm sick and f**ken tired of Lia's brain dead tackles and cards - he missed, from memory, 2 games last season because of cards and has obviously learned nothing. Almost cost us the game.

If that wasn't bad enough we have to do the "one for all" let's run over and see who else can get booked and, maybe sent off, including Ben "didn't I get sent off last season" Sigmund.

Lochhead out, Ifill injured we need players suspended like a hole in the head.

Get your collective discipline sh*t together. Angst moment over.

Happy with the 3 points and an acknowledgment to the Fury who made us work bloody hard for them.

OH FFS Lia was a definite red card, he was lucky to get a second yellow imo. Leaving the ground with studs up is against the rules and is a sending off.

DONE.

END OF.

MOVE ON.

Didn't see the game, I was busy. A win is a win. But it seems that the ref was so bad that he ought to send himself off during the game.AllWhitebelievr2010-09-24 22:24:43

I agree that every game I watch with O'Leary in charge it seems as though he's got it in for us. BUT...

He's reffed us 9 times now for 6 wins 1 draw and 2 losses. The 6 wins are all in a row. We started with two losses with him reffing, had the draw and now six wins on the bounce.

Obviously he only refs us at home, but he's still our most preferred ref.

EDIT: Actually, at home our most preferred ref is Chris Beath. In the six home games he's reffed us in we have NEVER lost.
