I would involve Hogg from the start as I think it's important to start looking to next season now, and we need to see if he is up to it.
I do wonder though whether he has improved enough to come into contention or whether we've dropped our standards so far that he could now be considered good enough to get a game

what a joke - what marketing do the nix ever do, I haven't seen anyhting up so far. It's onyl tuesday but surely you'd have the flyers up and out a week before - long weekend not an excuse, it's just plain lazy that the nix marketing team do nothing until a few days before kickoff, people need a weeks lead in to make plans and commit. Leaving the market and advertising unitl 4 days from the game gives people too much time to plan other thigns for the weekend and by then it's too late.

To be fair, in previous weeks they have had bus shelter posters up within days of the last home game (so a week and a half before the game they are advertising) and have had ads in the Dom Post right through the week leading up to the game. Flyers are a different story... ideally they would be handing them out every lunchtime through the week. We try to do our bit by handing flyers out on the Friday before home games, but I'm not sure how effective it is.

This is a massive game for us, and a massive weekend for the bottom 6 of the A-League.
If we beat the Jets, Sydney lose or draw away to the Victory, Heart lose or draw away to WSW and Perth and Brisbane will definitely take points of each other, then at the end of Round 18 the bottom 6 will be separated by only 3 pts (could even be 2 pts if results really go our way).
We could quite possibly be within 3 pts of 5th place by the end of the weekend!
We are still right in this. Now more than ever is the time to get behind your team.

Agree with everything saying that changes are needed for changes sake.
I would have Hogg in for Lochead, Boxall in for Sigmund (though I do still think Sigmund should still be a regular starter and can't see Boxall keeping Sigmund out).
Wouldn't have Boyd starting, not because he has been poor, just think its to soon in his career to be regularly playing 90 mins. Think Its best to keep using him off the bench for the moment.
Put Lindsay on the bench and give hime some game time. Need to know what other central midfield options we have. Can't do any worse than Smith or Lia. Could even possibly start him with Sanchez and Muscat.
If Brockie is playing, please don't have him sitting in behind Stein. Not his position. Either play him right up front or out wide.
Unsure whether to give Totori a start, but wouldn't mind if he did. Can be hit and miss but has shown enough that he can add something.

Based on last night a Fenton suspension would be a problem... particularly considering his last was for that 'dive' against Victory. Fucking A-League refs.
Yes. "Obvious error" is one of the MVPs against us this season. I like how the 'obvious errors' can't be corrected post game, but Manny can get a 3 game suspension. There's no real out clause, and as for the comes around goes around thing- it certainly hasn't this season.
