yeah, hopefully dylan resigns for another couple of years, I know some on here don't like him, but seriously his late run of 6 in 8 games was epic, and he and greenie work well together, with Ifill and Rojas (pls sign him) on the wings. Daniel will go I expect, he and Leo are in serious danger of becoming training squad players not even making the bench. We need a real RB, and a third striking option incase of injury.

Good to see we are wanting to keep Ward, D-Mac, bring in a striker and a quality rightback that could be named within the fortnight.

Jeez....according to the Doompost a big cleanout is underway at the Nix.

Gone or will probably go are North, Hearfield, Vukovic, Diego, Toto, Crowther.

Not re-signed yet Rojas, Ward, Dmac, Musa, Daniel

A right back from outside the A-League will be signed up in the next few weeks....any rumours?
Rickie wants a "gun" striker.....which is bleeding obvious. Trouble is so does everyother football team on the planet.

Article says the A-League season will probably start late Sept or early Oct to avoid clash with the egg ball playoffs. This is the first I have heard of this. Does this mean the season will run later into March April or will they try and squeeze in more midweek games....I sure hope not.

Thanks Tony Roja and Cernak at MV next season is a worry for the other teams but, for now, the current best 4 teams are left and its a good reflection on the season and the squads. Cant say there any bolters or lucky teams there. Hopefully, CCM can rally to end up in the finals.

Who is Roja?

Makes sense - I gather he's leaving his current team at the end of their season.

Seems to be a fertile recruiting ground for MV:

I hear this guy's likely to be released soon too.

Quite creative in the midfield, but also doesn't mind getting himself forward to cause a bit of havoc at set pieces.

Likes to play on the extreme right.

Does this mean it will start later every year?

Would prefer a later end too if this was the case - but that would come up against not-really-super 15 games so a clash there as well.

However late summer football is much nicer as a spectator than freeze-your-t!ts-off late winter/early spring.  Especially @ 80 mins.

Think I'll wait and see. Outside the A League doesn't mean we're signing someone from the EPL.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Wow, I don't remember having had a kid with Sid The Sexist, but, okay: 1) never play cards with a man called Doc; 2) never eat at a place called Mother's; 3) never have sex with someone who has more problems than you.

Seriously, folks, those rumours about Diego going off to the States are confirmed. Don't expect there'll be too many tears.

Interesting comments from Diego about the Nix playing style. Basically said they don't play possesion football and play a physical hard running game that does not suit Sth Americans.
Probably a fair enough comment.......makes you wonder why we keep recruiting players who don't fit our style of play!!!!!

iirc, Diego was injured for the first few months of the 2009/2010 season - and by the time he was fit, there was already a core team he was unable to get a look-in on?

That included two south americans- Daniel & Caceres ?

( I would typify Daniels style of play as sh*t crossing, rather than possession based)

Instead of getting crap players from Argentina, let's get crap players from the NZFC. They'll be cheaper. Lovemore and Imray, for a start. (Okay, they're not crap, but you get my point.)
