Sean Lovemore, Nick Branch, Nikko Boxall - three U20 players Ricki selected for the All Whites tonight. Ant Hobbs also scored against them. Could be some of the players in question?

hmmm yeah Bouzanis would be a great get.

The youth players are an interesting prospect.
Think Lovemore, Musa and one other would be good.

Why didnt Musa play last night though?

Is Musa not good enough?

or.. was Ricki using the game to trial some U20 players for the nix set-up?

Surely some of these EPL/Championship 28+ dudes must be ready for a holiday somewhere new right? The lifestyle factors for Wellington are a big pull.

Don't like the sign idea but I agree with Cr Morrison in this instance - council is just posturing and the motion counts for nothing.

Very much this. "Ah, erm yeah. So it turns out we gave resource consent for something our voters don't like, better provide the most formal show of support for their views without actually doing anything."

I'd much prefer that Celia got on her bike and did some skids in their car park, that'll tell 'em.brumbys2011-05-26 18:00:23

Not phased on Angulo, weak on the ball - skillful yes. Wouldn't say he would be the CAM that would solve our mid to forward linking though.

I really hope ricki looks abroad for a player who lights up the league as a link man. Doesn't need to score but can dink a lovely 1-2 with ifill for a poacher to finish off.

Angulo was Melbourne's best for a while there. Certainly performed better than Hernandez. Would be a cut above anything we have currently in that position.

yeah, we have been rather weak in the position over the last year. We have had better in previous seasons...

can he play wide as well? I think he would be a good adition to the squad, not sure if he has the leadership ability to guide the team though?

Maybe Ryan Giggs would fancy a season here to get over the European league disappointmant and until his alleged extramarital shenanigans have blown over

Apparently Dylan MacAllister has signed with Breiablik from Iceland.  Anyone know if this is just over the off-season or if it's longer term?

Whoa Iceland.. interesting!

The league runs until September so it's possible he's just signed until the end of the season...
