Do you also run and own 3 businesses?
I do.
I see knocking bussiness success is alive and well in small minded kiwis and the buldger mentality that is thriving is NZ.
The only real problem with the Nix is that its 'coached' by a typical conservative kiwi.
If you guys had half a nut between you all, you would organise a buy out.
Why don't you own a fourth then you can employ that new coach that you are unable to name?

Crowther has a contract next year anyway so seems like a mute point.
Why do you use this forum to spread misinformation? He has no contract for next year
Well if his contract is still running tomorrow then technically he he does have a contract for next year!

With the NZ$ continuing to strengthen against the pound (just hit something like a 28 year high) and with the UK's financial woes (including football clubs) this is a great time to recruit another Ifill or two.
Hopefully Terry's bank balance is up for it and we can repeat the successful Ifill / Greeny recruitment of a couple of years ago.
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Yeah as I was saying before we got lawyered, we should definitely be hitting these guys up about all their interested colleagues they were talking of last year.
We are still paying Paul while hes injured, so lets give him a cell phone and get him ringing the UK for all the interest he can manage to get for our club.
He'll most definitely know of people and if any of them are playing at the level he was, then they are surely worth a look in

Are you May wang in disguise? She loves her buyouts too, haha, just kidding. There are partys that are happy to step in should they be needed, that has been covered before.
I think people find (though some mods on here don't do any favours also with some inflammatory comments) that a certain post on here came across as demanding respect for your success which was totally irrelevant on a forum that has nothing to do with the day to day running of the club as a business.
I don't actually doubt your success as it certainaly may be true but in other threads you're happy to knock the success of the players and a coach(which can seem hypocritical which 95% of people are guilty of though) of calling them donkey's when they have obviously been succesfull to even be a professional football player, which is much harder and a smaller world.
I agree i've noticed a habit in NZ to bring down those who are successful, im told its called Tall Poppy or whatever here, when I've visted my father they call it Jantelagen or Jante's law or somwthing.
But I think this happens everywhere such at the UK and parts of AU but they just call it jealously or envy. But on the whole I feel NZ's mistrust lies with big business, and most people I've met are happy to support succesful local businesses.
I'm half kiwi, too and find myself doing it at times and being disgusted at myself later beacuse I do try to maintain the mantra the hard work = deserved success but it can all be taken away so easily. A little modesty goes along way just in case, but I agree to be succesful you do need a degree of confidence and beilef in your own choices, which is obvious in the way you carry yourself.
I'd hazard a guess (oooh more speculation) Terry S is more successful than you but he doesnt come on here knocking who you choose to run your businessess when you started laying into Ricki (which everyone has been guilty of) who despite some frustrations this year. Its well known the quality on any forum on the internet can be terrible. Same sh*t happens on 442 which is an aussie forum.
Back on transfers, I agree we need some new blood. I'm interested to see how sydney's new striker goes as i I am obviously biased in my opinion that there is alot of talent over in that area. His strike rate is smeltz like with a bit of pace and height. Scored against barca apparently haha.

Im sure the intent is there for us to sign someone since we have 1 import slot still available, but can we afford to sign anyone is the question.
Tho if I win powerball tomorrow, ill throw the club some money to help go towards Geovanni (ex Hull City) if that helps.

Geovanni would appeal RR - good luck with that powerball
he was a bit of a 'Felipe' in his early days at City but had that largely drummed out of him by Phil Brown
in related fantasy, I wonder if we'll see Fred in this league again??

Fred seems to be getting passed around the MLS now, Philadelphia didnt extend his contract after this yr, and now New England picked him up for next year.
And with the rate the A-League seems to be developing, there would always be a chance that he would be only average now.

Seems other clubs go to South America and find great players like Solorzano, KFC Carlos etc, while we unearth diamonds like Toto, Cleberson, and George.
We better sign some players. Wee Mac, Djulbic, Moss, and Spoonley (ditch Crowther). Find a striker and another midfielder and I'll be a happy man.

cassio is an import, well was, and he really added something to the team.
We gotta remember that any import is gonna probably be better than 90% of our previous/current ones.
Also, with the pissants getting this new Kostarican number ten, can we have flores please?

I reckon someone who could play quite well in the nix would beGuillermo Barros Schelotto , might be a bit expensive but he would be good for a season even though hes old.

Five inport slots including the azn one. Wouldn't kill us.
Isn't there was talk of it being reduced to 4 for next year? I read somewhere that it was one of the reasons why the Jets havent snapped up Jeffers yet.
But if it meant a proper right back, I would be happy to use a slot, even if import slots are reduced. If there was a good one floating around the VPL or NZFC currently, I hope we would have tried to sign them up already. Its not a new problem, Hearfield showed promise last year, but has taken backwards steps this year.

Neither Solarzano or Hernandez are from South America
And what is with people wanting to sign Djulbic all of a sudden? Average player (sh*te at Perth) made to look decent by Curtis and Van den Brink
Definitely not better than Siggy, North or Dura (maybe equal with North)

Nit-picking doesn't make your point any more valid. You know I meant Latin America. And Djulbic looks good regardless of Van den Brink who has had a good month or two but otherwise been utter tosh. Especially from a Phoenix perspective does he look good.

No bias whatsoever there, eh Clarke? On a completely non-hypocritical note, I reckon we should sign Luca Bellisomo.

Ok Ricki, you have received your new years honours - well done you derserve it. Time now to however stop toasting and time to start buying! The transfer window is open, where is our new years present? Or are we already resigned to not making the top 6 this year?
Auckland will rise once more
